168034 @Matt - "Monday, March 7th, 2016 - Compassion"
I loved this!!! It really made me think - and the things you told were amazing!! That was really grand!!

@Urs- "Thank you, Babe! :)
AWANA ROCKS! :D One of the best things a Christian parent--or any parent--could do for their chickenses! Trei grew up in AWANA! It goes from 3 yrs old all of the way through college. ROCK!in, huh? Yes, go look it up. I worked in it with Trei, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Lots of hard work and dedication, but that is the way of the Lord! Fer sher! :D"

Aw, that's terrific!!!!! Wow, that reall sounds amazing! :D
Aws!!! Amen! It sure is my friend! *handclaps*

@Hope -
I cannot tell you how much it meant to me that you substituted for me, in my absense! And what a moving devotion!!! This really pressed on me - and such an eye opening story!!
"...or buying a homeless person a hamburger, sharing Christ's love through compassion is a great way to share the gospel. "
Amen - wow, I couldn't have said it any better!! †

168034 To reply: (I'm so late :(())

- Emilia - "@MK, It was a Teens Fine Arts competition if you know what that is. (It's a competition between teens from different churches where they enter to do things such as, but not limited to, playing an instrument, singing, dancing, or entering some kind of artwork). It's a lot of fun and although it's easy to assume that most of the teens there are Christians, that's not always the case. We were challenged by a speaker there to walk up to someone from a different youth group and pray for them, but I completely chickened out. "

Aw!! I so know how that is!! No worries girl - God will give you strength, and next time you will be ready! :D

168034 Devotional Thursdays - "Perseverance - Strong!"

Thursday, March 31st, 2016
"Perseverance - Strong!"

Ah, wow, another devotion I am not prepared for... When you wait for the Lord to supply the topic, you are sometimes stuck with a topic you have no clue on...
You are there, pondering...

** Hebrews 10:36 - **
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

I keep seeing writers relate how they must make themselves write, and that it's hard to keep going.
I'm fortunate, for writing, or staying writing is not a problem at all for me; (give me a pen and paper, or a little device with those little things called letters on it, and I'm ready to go!) it's usually more of an issue to stop writing.

However, many times, the more troublesome heartache, is writing about what I am supposed to be writing about...
I have about 30,000 thoughts per second, so narrowing those thoughts down to my present topic, usually don't... Happen...

"I need to write about relationships? Ah, forget that - I'll write about my favorite food!"
Or, more relatable to the current feeling:
"I need to write about that little, yet deep word called, perseverance?
Ah... This could be fret worthy..."

Then, I'm there pondering to myself, until an unknowing passerby gets to hear the whole rant about how I have no idea what the Lord wants me to write... (Sorry, Mom! :P)

But, as the Lord always does, I feel God's inspiration, and I know what I should write - this time, something that would outdo all my other 30,001 thoughts! (See, what I did there? Added one, hehe!)

Now, I know you have done gotten tired of my rambling, and wondering how in the wide, vast world I'm gonna tie this into my present, topic - Perseverance!
(Bear with me!)

As I kept thinking, I suddenly saw what the Lord was trying to tell me...
My whole thought process, as annoying, and deafening as it was, was my perseverance!

Perseverance - steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success:

Sometimes when we see the word perseverance, we imagine a snail traveling over the bumpy rocks, and pouring rain in front of him - and, imagine that's what we are to do as well to persevere!
However, perseverance is so much more!!

Sometimes, many times, perseverance is just our patience, while in our wonder!!
When God is making a plan, we are just told to trust, and be patient!
This can be a heartache... (Don't I know!!)
But truly, perseverance is strength - knowing God is in control!!

Strength isn't always action taken immediately - strength is sometimes lack of action, and rather giving it over to the all knowing Creator, and knowing He is, and will be in control!

(And, just like a writer with plenty of inspiration, just not enough organization - Christ will work it all out - no matter the issue!)

He always is (in control!)
Jesus loves you, this I know!

For Jesus first loved me...

Persevere, He'll see you through!!

And look folks, He even helped me stick with this topic... After getting distracted... Ah, shall we narrow it down to, let's say... Multiple times... All in good measure! *winkz*
:D

168034 [Real Christian] ** Prayer Request!! **

Hey y'all!!
I hope you are all having a brilliant day! :D

I have an immediate prayer request, for some friends of mine:
(This was initially taken from the blog post, linked below...)

"My sister in law’s cousin is going through a lot right now.
Almost a year ago, her baby, a beautiful boy named Cooper, passed away from a neurological disorder.
They have been through a lot, but God has helped them through! ❤

About a month ago, the Lord blessed them with an adorable baby girl, Preslie.
However, she is showing signs, as Cooper once did, of the same disorder.
Tomorrow, they will go to see a neurologist, and try to see what is going on.

This dear family is asking for prayer for this baby girl!
Your love, and prayers would mean the world to us all!

We love y’all, and know God is in control!!"

168034 Devotional Thursdays - "Inspiration - Finding God In The Small Things..."

Thursday, March 24th, 2016
"Inspiration - Finding God In The Small Things..."

God always speaks to us in that loud, booming voice that we know so clear!
God's voice is always understood, for He never talks so low we need to pay extra attention...
God works in giant, shocking occurrences so we know He is there...

Wait, what? I'm worrying myself at this point... Scratch that idea - let's try again, eh?
Maybe the second time is the charm! :D

** Zechariah 4:10 **
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [with] those seven; they [are] the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

When I went to write this devotion, a particular story seemed to dawn on me...

A couple years ago, my brother got married, and what a beautiful thing that wedding was!
I was so excited to be the bridesmaid, and still, quite nervous...
However, before I start rambling on all the hilarious, fun, sweet, and adorable moments of the wedding, I must bypass all those stories for yet another day.

What I want to talk about here, is a small occurrence, that would be overlooked by many, but still remembered, oh so carefully, by me...

Flowers were carefully tied together with colorful bows, and ribbons, for each of the bridesmaids.
I just loved mine, for after all, it was with me through all the anxiety stricken stress that filled me through the wedding! :P
Later, after the wedding, and reception, and all the fun endowed, I went to find my flowers, and other belongings.
However, the more I looked, the more confused I became, because they seemed to had vanished!
It may of seemed silly to others, but these flowers meant so much to me... I had planned to keep that as a memento of the day my brother had gotten married...
And sadly, those flowers didn't want to cooperate...
I remember praying the whole time, hoping that no one had carried them off.

I kept looking, until my now, new sister, asked what I was searching so fiercely for. When I told her, her face suddenly turned a shade of white, that would really resemble that of a ghost.
She then told me she was sorry, that she didn't know it meant that much to me, for they had put all the flowers together, to throw for the flower toss.
I was saddened, but I was not about to let her, nor any of the other happy people know my worry --
So, I smiled, and told her that it was no problem at all...

I soon found my other belongings, and grabbed my other clothes from the bathroom shelf.
I heard something plop down behind me... And turned, to see my flowers, lying there!
I will not relay all the crazy cheering, and thanking the Lord I did, for really, that'd take too long! :P

Sometimes, I think we get hung up looking for the large, extravagant gifts God gives us, and forget that sometimes, the small things are what gives us pleasure!

Solomon, the wisest, and richest of kings, told us that out of all he had, he had found joy most in being with his family, eating and talking!
(Ecclesiastes 3:13)

Within this life, full of heartache, unknown plans, and bitter thoughts, we want the latest, greatest thing that makes us smile!
And yet, when we find that small miracle, do we notice it - or rather, do we scoff and think back to our other issues at hand...

My mind has been a little hectic for the past week, especially, but even though God hasn't answered my present requests, doesn't mean He is not aware!
The Lord is nigh unto those that are of a broken spirit (Psalms 34:18); He always listens, for He cares, and sometimes all we need... All we need, is to find the small things, to realize God is there!

Just look - and He will be there!

Thanks so much for reading, and I would love to know your thoughts below! Have any small miracles that are present in your memory? Have any prayer requests, or things you'd like to share?
I'd absolutely love to hear them!! :D

With lots of prayers, and love!

For other reference on small things, check out these sermon notes from Charles Spurgeon!
(They really inspired me!)

(God is there!)
Jesus loves you!

For Jesus first loved me <3

Deeper Than The Sound - "Another Day," by Carman!!

Hi there *waves crazily*
I haven't done one of these in several months, and I'm really looking forward to this! :D

(If you are not familiar with this topic, this is a post where I will list a song, its artist's background, the lyrics, and analyze the song at hand!
The point is to grant us more thought, and knowledge toward a particular song, and likewise provide some inspiration, hope, and creative encouragement! I hope you enjoy it!
These posts are always open to comments, questions, or etc... I'd love to hear from you!! ;))

((Check out the last, "Deeper Than The Sound," here: ["What Salvation's Done For Me!" by, The Booth Brothers.]))

("Another Day," by, Carman)

This song really has been upon my heart for, really, the last month!
I've been dealing with a lot of questions, worries, and heart aches, and, this song has played such a huge part in reminding me that Christ is always listening, and already has a plan - all I have to do, is trust!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Background:
(Taken from, Wikipedia...)
Carmelo Domenic Licciardello (born January 19, 1956) known by his stage name, Carman, is a contemporary Christian music artist and evangelist.
Carman was born in Trenton, New Jersey.
As a child, he played drums in his mother's band, then as a teen, he formed his own group. Around the age of 20, he moved to California.
While attending an Andraé Crouch concert, Carman became a born again Christian, and embraced evangelicalism.
Carman has received 15 gold and platinum albums and videos, and has sold over 10 million records. He holds the world record for the largest single Christian concert in history.
----------------------------------------------------------
Carman's music has been a big part of my childhood, and continuing now as well.
His music always has a meaning, whether it be to praise the Lord, tell of some encouraging Biblical message, or just to make us smile!
Along with the deep meaning, Carman's music always has a good beat, and is one of my favorite tools when I'm feeling down!! :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Analazying:
(Lyrics in italics, my thoughts in regular text.)

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"When I pray I seek an answer
I don’t want a song and dance or
Assume I know and take a chance or go astray..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us - (James 5:16.)
However, many times we feel like God is not listening, and we are merely talking to ourselves... *sigh*...
We pray, for we want to know the leading of God; we are not looking for simply a good feeling from praying, nor just a silence around us...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Listen now to my request and
Send a word so I can rest and
Get direction to my question, and feel okay..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We cry for God to hear us, and know, that if we could know God's answer, to this so aching question, we could relax, and have peace!
An answer to a question that has frazzled you, is what we pray for... (Romans 8:26)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"But I know not now don’t mean never
So I’ll just do what I must do and trust You forever..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Above all, a fret I face a lot, is that of coming to terms with knowing, that sometimes, we don't get an answer.
Yes, we came to God in prayer and supplication, like He tells us, and yes, we asked continually, but, no, we do not get an answer...
One may start to think they've done something wrong, or need to keep asking, but, sometimes, God wants us to trust Him first and foremost.
Even if that means, not getting an answer.
An answer does not supply our mental stability, and if we start to depend on life, and it's occurrences, we will only start to believe in ourselves, and in that way, we will only fail.
However, when we trust in Jesus Christ, and whatever He plans for us, even when we may not be aware of this plan, we will be like the man who built his house on the rock - steadfast!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Chorus:)
An answer soon will come my way, but it may come another day
The wind will blow the clouds away, but it may blow another day
God’s promises are always true, a rainbow somewhere waits there too
But until then, You’ll see me through another day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The answer God has for us, is not always given when we want it to be - sometimes, all we are given is the knowledge of knowing God is in control, no matter our unknowing of the situation, (Proverbs 19:21.)

All of issues will be taken care of, (blown away like the heavy clouds settled in the sky,) but, the solution may not be immediate. We can trust, however, God will take care of it, even if it is another day!

God's word to us will always be true - never failing!
He promises us to lead us, when we seek Him, (Philippians 4:19.)

The rainbow, a promise set in the sky, by God, after the flood, to remind us of a very important truth:
"The rainbow appears when we have most reason to fear the rain prevailing; God then shows this seal of the promise, that it shall not prevail. The thicker the cloud, the brighter the bow in the cloud. Thus, as threatening afflictions abound, encouraging consolations much more..."
(Taken from - Matthew Henry's Commentary...)

Therefore, this line is very deep, and tells us that when God gives an answer, we will know it is perfect, even if it comes after the rain!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like the boy with loaves and fishes
I got hopes and lots of wishes
It would be just so delicious to hear Your voice
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The boy, who gave his lunch to Jesus, was used to feed thousands, and show Christ's power - and this line shows, that we want to be used of God, with our talents!
Our hopes, dreams, and wishes are with us, but to follow them in peace, we must have God's answer and leading, and for now, we only find silence.

We need God's voice, and like a scrumptious dinner to our taste buds, so would God's answer be to our ears!
(Jeremiah 33:3)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh sometimes I want to weep Lord
A hundred prayers and not a peep Lord
Give me something I can keep Lord through the noise
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When the storm is upon us, we want to cry, and weep in our utter distress - and, those who know the Creator of the world, like we do, want to pour out of hearts to that Someone who keeps the earth spinning!
However, as the desire to pour this out before the Lord, we also are in so much distress, we don't want to let our voice call out...

When in these moments, we want God, yet, feel as though we can't reach out toward Him, and so, we do what we can, and that is ask for something we can know, and be sure of within these troubles!
(1 John 3:20)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cuz I know not now don’t mean never
So I’ll just do what I must do and trust You forever
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And still, we know that the silence, doesn't mean we are left alone, but rather that God already has a plan, just not for us to see quite yet!
Our trust in Him, even when life makes no sense, and our hopes seem to be vanishing before our eyes, strengthens us, and ironically, provides a serene peace -- for, we know God is the reason for our plans!

Trust is so much more than a word - trust is what keeps us heartily connected to the Saviour!
We were not here when the heavens were fashioned in a keen, and perfect manner, and they were still made - for we must realize nothing comes by our own hands, because everything good comes from Jehovah, and without Him nothing would be!
(John 1:3)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God’s promises are always true, a rainbow somewhere waits there too
But until then, You’ll see me through another day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Overall, this message is one we all need to take to heart!

Where is your trust? If you have placed your belief, and hope in worldly possessions, occurrences, beliefs, or people, then it will all fail, like a heavy rock through a paper napkin.
But, on the other side, is your trust put into the Almighty, and everliving Christ who gave His life for yours?

He is the only peace, rock, strength, and love that is steadfast through the storm!

Even when we don't get an answer, doesn't mean God no longer cares, for, in fact the silence may show us that God cares so much more than you may think!
Like a parent who loves their child, will scold, and teach them in the right way, so will God lead, and guide us where we are needed - and, sometimes that may be where you don't want to go, or maybe not what you want to hear - but, His plan is perfect, and will always be true!

Our answer is there, and sometimes when we only hear silence, it just means to trust, because in this present world of total distress, and evil, we need that trust that builds faith to carry us through!

Trust Christ - He is All In All!!

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I really enjoyed this one y'all, and I'm sure that's probably because I was preaching to myself! :P

Guys, the thought for this message, is really the heart of something I've been dealing with here lately.
Don't let the trouble of life, keep you from living!
Fear is something we all are familiar with, and there comes a point you have to stomp it out, like the latest wildfire.

True, there is no way to relinquish all fear, but living in it is not healthy, much less helpful!
The first step in quenching fear, is realizing you are overcome by it, (and right now, it's pretty easy for me to come to those terms...)
Whether we classify our fear as, 'our fear is that we will hurt others,' it still does not change the fact that fear is still harmful.
We have to lay away the fear of hurting someone; we have to lay aside the fear of not achieving the goal -- cause, after all, if we don't jump... How will we ever know if we could make it?

It's okay to be behind -- it's okay to not be perfect -- for, if we go after it, with Christ carrying us, He will provide the rest <3

Take a leap - He'll make sure that you don't fall -- that's not your job!

** Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. **

Love y'all <3
Sorry I'm behind, and will get to everything so soon -- I so wish I had so much more time for you all, y'all make me know I'm not alone!!

PS. It's almost Easter, go get a peep... And no, I'm not advising that just because I'm highly addictive to those marshmallow treats :D Hehe!!

Jesus loves you, this I know <3

"Smiles... Like A Medicine!"

You are just humming through your overly busy life when... Something stuns you from your challenge at hand.

Someone, some random stranger you have never seen before, is making a face, of sorts, and staring right your way... You only have but a second to survey them, and realize the gleam in their eyes, softly matches the up turned motive on their lips.
They are smiling straight at you!
And once, out of the many hundreds of times you pass some unknown stranger on your way, you realize that someone cares, and that you are a part of this crazy, yet upturned, world!

A smile...

** Proverbs 17:22 - **
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

A memory, one that may seem unimportant to many, has pressed upon me for years...
I remember a day, many years ago, when I was about ten years old; I went into a restaurant with my Dad, and brother.

As I stood in line, a lady, sitting a few feet away eating lunch, but seeming miserable, with a sad look on her face, caught my attention. I don't know why I kept pondering on it, but I did, and I stood waiting for her to look my way. She finally noticed the small girl looking up eagerly at her, and I was quite stunned, seeing that now, I had nothing to say.
I quickly smiled at her, the only thing I knew how to easily do, and I beamed the very best I could!
I still, after all these years, can remember that lady's face, as she gave back such a sweet smile, forsaking her weary gaze!

That memory has always stuck with me, for it has always reminded me that such a small thing, can hold such a large meaning!

So, to the point - why smile?

The Bible is the most amazing book in the world, for it not only is the most detailed history book, but it is also the most inspirational book you will ever pick up!

So many verses tell us -

* Proverbs 15:13-14 - A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

And, why?

* 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

We smile because we are what people see, when they look for Christ! Whether we notice it or not, every day someone sees you, and many, so many, times they eye carefully how you act, dress, and talk, for we are the ones that represent Christ!

In this present world of utter distress, people are searching for any source of peace, and hope, left in the world! What do they see, when they see you?

Jesus loves us all, how will others know?

Others know this love shown to them, by us; they see it by the small things that riddle their every day, and sometimes, that is just a soft smile, just to show you care!

My challenge to you, today - show Jesus, and smile - for every day is a gift, and I know that there is something you can be happy about, even your very heart beat!

Such a beyond special, stunning event it is, when two fellow humans look straight into the other's eyes, and one smiles.
It's as the world stops for, but a second, and they realize the other's presence, and recognize they have a place in this wide world, and somehow... Somehow, they know they are in this together...

Jesus loves you!!

For Jesus first loved me <3
