Salem watched curiously. "So if I could study my opponent in a split-second while fighting them I might have a chance without abilities. Well that certainly evens out the playing field. Honestly, Max...I'd rather have something other than my body being used as a weapon. I might be top student at school, but I can't think long enough to know what someone is defending or what they are avoiding. Except Alex here. He seems to be avoiding his past while at the same time bringing it up. He has more emotional wounds than anybody I've seen. Maybe if he would consider letting relations get in the way of a fight he might stand a chance against you." Salem was trying to hit a soft spot in Alex, but the guy simply shrugged it off literally as every bone in his back cracked before he moved inhumanly fast he was pinning Salem down again. Salem wasn't skilled enough to use Alex's weight against him, but he had his own range of power. IT only took seconds for a wall of air to knock Alex off of him and Salem stood ready to throw a punch. Alex grinned, "Not bad, for a weak and lazy Witch." Salem gritted his teeth and threw a punch hitting Alex hard in the chest. Alex got knocked off his balance, but nothing more. "Nice, you have been learning something." Alex punched Salem in the arm and Salem flinched but Salem noticed that Alex used his left side more than his right. Alex swung with his right hand and Salem dropped tot he ground at first not on purpose, but then he made it back when he took Alex's feet right out form under him with a hard kick using his shin bone.
Alex fell and quickly leg locked the Witch by his ribs. Alex screamed out in pain when he was sure they were going to break. Alex stood and dusted hismelf off smirking, "He is a quick learned I'll give him that."
Salem rolled his eyes, "One of my powers that I can't help but to hold control over. It's called innate capability. I can learn faster than any Witch or human."
Alex raised an eyebrow, ""Isn't that considered cheating in school? I mean if you are the best student then you are using your powers to get ahead." He looked at Max, "It sounds like cheating."

Salem watched curiously and was hoping Max would kick the guys ass. He was counting on it actually. He moved over to Ciara to get a distance view incase they went a bit further than just pinning. Salem had been around plenty of war vets to know that they were crazy when it came to fights and once their adrenaline pumped there was no stopping them. Alex looked at Salem grinning, "Watch Max closely. She could teach you a thing or two, but don't count on yourself ever being as good as either of us." Alex said pulling her arm hard and ready to kick her in the back to bring her down.

Alex spotted a small group after her. That was maybe a month before the ISIS incident. Alex had ran out of ammo fighting his way back to Max and she was too high up to hear him screaming and too focused on the mission to watch her own back. With a knife and a fist Alex barely saved her life. He hated getting flashbacks. It was his worst fear. He hated bringing the past up. These lessons would bring out the worst in him if he let it happen. "Let me work on the kids fight you just focus on his aim." He looked Salem over, "Straighten yourself, this isn't boxing. You don't have time to jump around and worry about stance. You need to be able to pack a punch on a seconds notice. Give me your best shot." Alex told him and Salem gritted his teeth hating being compared to a child or kid in anyway. He swung hard at Alex who dodged it easily and Salem swung with his other arm, but Alex caught him by the forearm and twisted his arm ebhind his back in seconds. He was in the position to break his arm in the middle or dislocate it from hsi shoulder. "Good, I could smell a bit of rage in that. Try channeling that energy with more focus and speed next time. You have a long way to go. Me and Max...We were trained all our lives for combat. I tended to get trigger happy at times and Max tended to lose her cool and have an issue with authority figures. Find your weakness. Harness it then destroy it as if it never existed. Stop playing to everyone else's strengths and find your own." He smelled the air a bit more clearly. "Funny, you have a lot more rage than I anticipated."
Salem gritted his teeth as Alex released him. He held his arm and moved his shoulder to get back into comfort. "I promise, it's not rage...It's called Wrath and if I harness that energy no one will be alive." Salem warned him never having told anyone about his powers over sins. He suspected Damien and Variel knew and he knew that Kali did, but he never directly told anyone. Not even now he wasn't giving any sort of detail.
Alex rolled his eyes, "You see, the thing about you Witches you always seem to rely on your powers. Guess what. You can run out of that power. It doesn't take much to use it up and when you run out of fuel what are going to do then? Fall over and play dead? In the army we call it body counting. Those who are alive still are given an extra shot to make them stay dead. Don't think for a second that they won't try those military tactics on you too. Whatever you call it, rage...wrath...Keep it inside. While I'm training you we don't use magic. This is all trained and harnessed skill. Nothing more and nothing less, understood." Salem glared for a moment and nodded, "Understood."
Alex looked over at Crystal and gave a light wink back. "You can't learn anything from watching someone else being pinned down. I'll give you a few private lessons too." He smirked clearly hitting back at her.

Salem thought the guy was attractive enough, but the way he kept referring to him as someone weak and unable made him really want to stir up a storm in the house. "I'll have you know I'm one of the best swimmers at school and I'm on the football team and lacrosse team...not to mention the soccer team as well. I may look weak, but I promise when in the field and being replaced as front line defense I have taken down a guy twice your size." Alex rolled his eyes as he walked further in, "A pleasure to meet you, Crystal." He said studying her closely. "As for you lil man...Those guys on the field aren't looking to kill you. Just maim you a little. You are going to need more than running and evasive maneuvering to get through a real battle. But you look smart. Brains are a good thing to have in combat as long as you are a quick thinker." Alex was ready to jump into the game. He moved quickly and tackled Salem hard before pinning him to the ground. "See, you didn't see me coming even while looking at me, so use those Witch skills and try to take me down next time it happens. Otherwise, you would already be dead." Salem had the breath knocked out of him and as Alex stood up off of him he held his chest in pain. "Oh I'll be ready next time Mr. muscles. I don't need brains to fight brawns. You just were too cute to fight back." Alex looked at him awkwardly, "Right, well I'm sure the enemy will have plenty of cute guys to check out while your throat is being ripped out and held in front of you as you draw in your last breath before you bleed out or drown in your own blood."
Salem thoguht this guy seriously needed a chil pill. The unnerving part was that he looked totally laid back and calm. He wasn't out of breath or anything. "So Im guessing with the inhuman strength you must be another Sleepwalker." Alex hated memories coming back and it wasn't wise to try and bring them up in a first encounter. "Watch it kid...I'm a Familiar." He looked toward Ciara/Crystal a bit weary of what he was saying. He didn't even know if she knew about all this. He then looked to Max hoping she wouldn't go off about him being a traitor to their oath to keep quite given he had to tell somebody to become a Familiar. "So Damien...The High Priest?" He asked deciding upon the fact that Crystal would have already flipping if she didn't know and her scent wasn't exactly human.

Salem nodded as he listened, "Got it, don't point unless you want to kill and spinny thing holds bullets. Oh and it is not cool at all and not something from a Western." Alex laughed behind Max, "Funny, I don't remember ever covering that lesson in the military. Please continue because I thought all guns were something cool out of movies." Alex said with a light grin. "When did you go from Grievance County Sheriff to Gun enthusiast and firearm instructor?" He asked as his grin never left. He had not seen the news about Witches just yet and he hadn't a clue who Salem was, though he did look familiar like a smaller version of the Grievance Ridge High Priest. "Cute kid, he yours?"
