I did like this one a lot! (view spoiler)[I found the author's notes interesting as well. Too many people don't read author's notes that usually add meaning to the story. She would have a perspective for writing such a story that most others wouldn't. I thought she did a great job creating a "perfect" codependent teen girl. I hated the hold Cash had on her...the attempted rape and bruising her body plus just his overall way of treating her and she allowed it. :( (hide spoiler)]

Yay! I’ve been out grocery shopping and errand running with the hubby but have a book I was listening to. I’ll check the SS & review thread shortly to see if that’s still what we need.

WOW! I knew it! (view spoiler)[Wyatt locked it out of her mind. Cash really had a terrible hold on her. A lot of teens wish a parent were dead in specific moments, But did I miss something? Who committed all of the other crimes? (hide spoiler)]

Wyatt (view spoiler)[wasn't innocent in the killing of her mother though. I mean, she was there and even though she blocked it out I would think that would somehow have to be proven in a court of law and for her to be found innocent in complicity of her mother's killing. But I am glad that she didn't do it. The question remains though: WHO KILLED EVERYONE ELSE? (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 11-20

Oh no!!! (view spoiler)[I know Wyatt was mean to her mom, telling her she wished she were dead and yelling all the time at her. Cash had some kind of hold on her, but I really hope she had nothing to do with her mother's death but it sounds like she was remembering it. I wonder if Cash did do it and she saw it, not a part of it, and her mind blocked it out due to how horrific it was to witness. (hide spoiler)]

These past few chapters I've (view spoiler)[gotten to trust Porter a lot more. He's been really gentle with Wyatt, whereas I never saw that in Cash. I think Porter truly cares. (hide spoiler)] But I am DYING to know!

Lol My daughter ended up asking me to watch the kids so she and her hubby could go out for a few hours. So I don’t know if I will get back to my book tonight or not but I hope so. I’m so curious!

Ch. 1-10

Wow! (view spoiler)[What a start to a book! I can't imagine an entire "season of violence" but it seems like it's all in the month of November. It must have a special meaning or reason behind it. I had to check to see if this was paranormal because I thought maybe the entire town was cursed. (hide spoiler)]

Porter (view spoiler)[ I hadn't thought about her mother possibly trying to warn her about Porter but it's feasible. I'm not sure about him yet. (hide spoiler)]

Cash (view spoiler)[I don't know about him but I don't like him much. He seems rather narcissistic. He's definitely not on my "would love my granddaughter to marry a boy like that" list but neither is Porter. (hide spoiler)]

Wyatt (view spoiler)[I hope she wises up. She kept saying she didn't belong to anybody, so why did she let Cash do what he did to her? She "loves" him and seems like the bottom line is that she'd run to him at the snap of his fingers if he wanted her. (hide spoiler)]
