We have had good books lately! Thankfully! 9/8 is good for me too.

And I am done! Thankfully the baby slept nearly the whole time I was there and Lily wanted to paint with water colors so I was able to finish it and WOW!

Never really even gave him a thought. lol I'd make a terrible detective! I felt bad for Pip how badly she felt when Stanley died. It was horrific what he did when he was younger but with a dad like he had he was probably too afraid to try to go against him. I bet you're right about the next book! (hide spoiler)]

I am SO UPSET!! (view spoiler)[Wow! I can't believe that Max got off Scott free! We know they can't retry him for the same offense, so something has to happen where he gets punished! That's just all kinds of wrong! I feel for Pip because now everyone thinks she is a liar and her hunt for Jamie might be fake? That would be so awful to face! I hope somehow she is avenged! I have to go shower then watch my grandkids while my daughter and her hubby have a date night. So now I'll have to wait to finish this until tonight but I want to know NOW (view spoiler)[if Jamie is alive and who did what! I don't suspect his dad anymore, but I still think it could be the teacher. lol It always is or the detective. lol But seriously, I just don't have any really good guesses. Maybe he's caught up in some drug thing since he needed $900? I just don't know. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[What in the heck is going on?! Jeez, you're right...so many options but we know it's always the teacher! lol Layla catfishing Jamie sounds like a lure for trouble. If she was a real person, she'd have used her own pics. It's very possible it's a guy luring him using Layla. Why would Jamie only steal a watch and a one that's more feminine than masculine? I'm dying to find out what's going on!! (hide spoiler)]

I am sad that even IF Jamie's dad has nothing to do with his going missing, he's still a terrible father name-calling and making Jamie feel less than! (hide spoiler)]

Hey team, I am sorry if I've been rather MIA lately. After going to Canada for 10 days and then coming home to a new grandson being born on Aug. 2 and helping with grandkids as our school year began here already, I've pretty much been MIA. I still have books to review and post as soon as I can which hopefully I can get some done tomorrow or at least bank some for the next round.

Right? You love horror but I don’t. I love historical fiction but it’s not your favorite. I think we both really like mystery/thrillers and we usually pretty close on our views of those books but not always so I love it when we are close!

(view spoiler)[What the heck! What just happened with "Bogart" or "Peter"? I kept getting text messages from my sister regarding my niece who just left the hospital after having another surgery and against the doctors' and others' advice. All 3 of my daughters texting me. Anyway what was their $50,000 deal? Just that he would set her up in an place and then the note comes from Violet? What is going on! And she really is getting into Scott? I thought she was pretending but it doesn't sound like it now. (hide spoiler)]
