154447 I saw someone with a bunch of short stories as little mini novels. They were 50 double sided pages long, (because you can perfect bind that) and the font was just the size it needed to be to fill 100 little pages.

They were glorious, and I am going to do that as well.
Selling them on Amazon as print books? Probably not, but as little mini books at a book expo, heck to the yes!

154447 @Zoltan - I will be here! :D

@Lara - That is half the reason I say anything, honestly.

@Missy - Yes, they are friends with others in the writing group. They left my book at her house, all sneaky like, with a note of 'Read me'. I was like Alice!

@G.G. - It is a threshold certainly! I was shocked. It was also great.

@Marie - Don't give up! I have a pen name and am a cartoon elf! It can happen to you to!

154447 I imagine that it would be much like getting a *WORD MODERATED* from an angel, on the steps of Heaven, but then they go and ruin it by *STRING OF WORDS MODERATED*.

An uplifting experience that eventually gets old.

154447 Now you've done it Ben. You've gone and learned that blurbs are hard to write. :D

My advice: Don't learn that fact and you will be fine! ;)

154447 I count 'Da Bombs' and 'Restraining orders' as being on the same level as a squee.
The important thing is that you were made. (recognized) :)

Were you allergic to funerals perhaps?

I think they were most surprised by the fact that I am a cartoon character - even in person!

Honestly, that sounds like the blurb for a black comedy.

154447 The other day I went to my writer's group and I got squeed!

A person I had not met previously was there, and I could tell they were nervous. When I introduced myself they let out an excited squeaking noise and said that they knew who I was, and they had to come to this because they were a huge fan of mine after reading my first book and had to meet me.

I was shocked, I never expected something like that to ever happen.

How about you, have you ever been squeed?
(Or even just met an excited fan)

Goodreads Giveaway winners are not obligated to leave reviews.

Although, I did read that ones that do leave reviews of their winnings have a better chance of winning again. Their entries get weighted... but that might just have been hopeful book give-away-ers trying to bump up reviews.

No, not that accurate. I always do the 'Ninja Turtle' personality types on characters before writing them. (Or, more classically known as the 4 humours)

Later, while examining all of the characters in my novel because of this thread I ended up noticing that they all fit into one of the BM spots, with only a single double, and those were the twins that acted alike, Subconsciously, I had done it without realizing I had. Which fits into my own BM type pretty exactly. :)
