Have you read The Assassin's Blade yet? Because that will explain her dislike of Lysandra! They have a long history!

She's not around too many women, but she used to be best friends with Nehemiah of course... She develops female friendships later too!

Obviously not saying anything about Chaol right now because I've finished and you haven't. Excited for you to read on so we can discuss more!!!

So happy they saved Aedion! I was so upset at the end of Heir of Fire and thought he would never get to see his friend, his cousin, his Queen Aelin.

I don't like Aelin having to work for Arobynn and fight in the pit and stuff. Brings back too many memories from The Assassin's Blade.. I know she needs to do that stuff though so she can get back her amulet though before she kills him. Who else noticed she took Ansel's name from The Assassin's Blade? Wonder if we will ever see her again in this series? Maybe in book 5 or 6?

I'm confused about Elide. Had no idea she was a witch. Especially since we knew her mother from before. And she can choose her blood? I don't know if she actually meant that literally or if she just meant that she could choose to join them or not. It could work out for her though and they could protect her since she's all alone.

Liked hearing the stories from Aedion about Rowan and how he basically worships him haha About how he is a legend and one of the greatest warriors in history. Then the part where he said, "Rowan was the most powerful full-blooded fae male alive. And his scent was all over her. Yet she had no idea." I guess his scent is on her because of the blood bond? Or because they are carranam? Or maybe just because until recently they spent a lot of time together? I'm not sure.
Kind of awkward when Aedion got to the blood oath part though.... opps..

Those gargoyle things.. YIKES. Yet another problem.

ROWAN IS BACK!! Yay!! I missed him so much! I honestly was so so excited when he came back and they ran to each other and hugged! :) Cracked me up when she just pushed him in her room and told the others he needed a bath or she'd vomit. haha one of my favorite lines about his new short hair "Your hair was so pretty. I was hoping you'd let me braid it one day. I suppose I'll have to buy a pony instead. When you shift, will your hawk form be plucked, then?" LOL
Who else noticed the really significant moment when Aelin handed Rowan the lavender scented soap? In the Assassin's Blade she never let Sam use it because it was her favorite and expensive.. Then he was killed and she thought back to how she wished she would have let him and not cared about dumb stuff like that. Apparently now she's learned...
And aw he said she was beautiful <3
I cracked up at the part when Rowan asked where to sleep, Aelin said just like old times with her, and then he said it was "improper" and later she came out in that nightgown haha ....those two.... so happy there are reunited!

Who else was surprised about Aedion's father? Can't believe he's Gavriel’s son. Interested to see how that plays out in the future books.
