Was there a reason that we have sort of dismissed Patty's latest find? In Ocean Shores (if so I missed it)? If it is in Ocean Shores proper it seems like (from google maps) that there would be other nearby accommodations if we grew too large.

@Kate: I agree with you about the end of Mockingjay. I also felt it resolved too quickly and neatly into that "ok" state after climaxing.

I was hoping to get a response like that from you Brian!

Perhaps we will have to look towards Roslyn if we can't find anything that'll work in proximity to JE's place. Maybe we can make Brian give Penny a call and sweet talk her into a swell deal...

Well, I completely misread the pricing. For some reason (stupidity) I thought the houses were at the off-season rate.
500/night is quite a bit of money.

End of July is good for me as the fall semester starts in mid August and we're usually required to show up a week prior for meetings and the convocation...

Regardless of where it is I'm in. That being said I'm cool with having at your place JE.

Wow! Look at all this discussion. I am, as always, a bit late to the game. I have gotten a copy and will begin as soon as I finish the second part of 1Q84 which should be today.

You're like the Fiction Files' Haymitch!

I am reading my way through the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy,
Mockingjay. I know Brian is also reading the third book as well so we decided to start a thread.
So what does everyone think of this trilogy and more widely of the quality of YA literature?

Hey that's a great tumblr too Kerry. Now I can switch between the two to ensure I never become too sad.

This is much sadder than I expected.

I had a dream last night that I began reading one of PE's books. It was one no one had heard of before. I remember being excited but little more...

Two votes for Sidney. I looked for it today when I went to buy the new Murakami but they didn't have it. I'll keep looking before I break down and get it from the big A.

You two are crazy for this Percival character! I have a feeling I will be starting to read him in the near future. Where should the uninitiated start?

Hey! I'm constantly playing Words with Friends, I'm dtn620 on WWFs for anyone not currently playing me.
I've got something like 16 games going right now!

Adonis or Murakami is fine by me as long as we avoid another Philip Roth debate!

It's a huge downer Chris, but I still really loved it.

As I continue in my reading of most things written about DFW and his writing here is a recent piece from the NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/21/mag...which led to this piece on Huff Po:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/omer-ro...which finally led to this Audio-Documentary of DFW that I have yet to listen to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIjS4K...there's an awful lot here.
