Damnit people! It's The Corrections!
I won't be able to post anothe rpicture for at least three hours. Something about working and teaching a class...blah.

I guess that was a hint. I was on my phone when I posted last night. Now I'm at work and unable to post a new picture.

Here's a article on Franzen being, well, a douche (as it relates to gender):
http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/page...And here's another article on the male to female ratio of writers appearing in literary journals:
http://www.mediabistro.com/galleycat/...

And this is a cover of a book by a guy who's gotten a lot of press good and bad here in the files and elsewhere.

Sometimes A Great Notion! One of my favorite books. What a great cover too.
This one will likely be too easy:

I'm going with The Wizard of Oz!
How about this one:

Ranting on classical themes is one of the most endearing things about you Mo (to me at least!). :)

Even cropped down that Gatsby cover is so dazzling.

oh, those directions I posted back in the beginning, maybe I should move them to the top post.
Well I edited the original post but you can do what Mo says below.

You have a mac, right ben?
Press command, shift, 4 all at the same time. Then you take the screen shot by drawing a box the size and place you want to capture.

Maybe it's that whole not ever being a teenage girl that is working against Rob and I.

I hope she's sticking it to you Mo! And I have no idea what cover that is.

Yeah, I am pretty good (bad?) at buying way more books than I can ever read. In fact, I bought 75 new books this past december when our library held it's sale. It's only cost me about $45 so was was I supposed to do?
I can't even imagine what my read to unread ratio is but I am sure it's approaching 1:1. Ok, I guess I can imagine it...

I know that one! It's one of my favorite covers of all time. But I won't dare say it so quickly.

You definitely know the book Rod, but prob not the cover. I tried to pick the most classic one (as I see it). In fact, I checked and 27 of my Goodreads friends have read, rated, and/or reviewed it.

Yeah, I'll send mine as soon as I get paid, or my tax return. Whichever comes sooner. Thanks for taking care of things Patty.

Updated the rules!
Is it A Wrinkle in Time, Rod?
If so, then I give you this easy to identify cover:

This is interesting, I have also wondered if any musicians have gotten better after they've sobered up. Usually their defining works are created while under the influence.

Patty, I still have no idea. It looks so familiar but I don't think I own that book or at least not that version of it.

Ahhh, Moby Dick! My gut reaction was The Long Ships too (which I still need to read).
I have no idea what yours is Rod.
And my initial reaction to yours Patty was Journey to the End of the Night but I doubt that's it. But it is still very familiar.
