15336 ok, so that's lessened the appeal of the kingston place - you need a holiday too, p.

how are we feeling about the Cle Elum spot?

this one in the Roslyn/Cle Elum area again -for those who made it 2 years ago."

that looks great! and we know and love the area.

Jennie wrote: "http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rent..."

jennie, this one looks AMAZING. where the hell did it suddenly come from????

have i worked out the price right?:

$350 * 7 nights (for example) + $150 cleaning / 15 people = $173 per person

that seems pretty damn good to me, AND near camp evison. and look how sexy it is. that massive corner sofa thing with that view and all of us hanging out on it? this one has my vote.

patrick's cle elum is my second choice and the skamania, third choice.

15336 Neil, that sounds great, but I personally have to say no to that. See, this is my 'big' holiday of the year. I give up all my other possible holidays and destinations to come to this event every single year. Without Brian there, I travel the furthest with the most expensive flights. The Makah place just doesn't appeal as a destination for my only annual holiday, I'm sorry. If we're going to rough it, then surely Camp Evison is the better and cheaper option anyway?

As for the rented accommodation thing - the more of us there, the cheaper it will be for each of us. It always turns out dirt cheap per person considering the amazing places we stay in and the beautiful places we see. A lot of us have financial problems - I'm still paying off every single dorka I've been to, believe me - so we understand your need for a cheap stay.

Let the poll do its thing for a couple more days and then we'll take it from there. It took ages to get this thing moving again - let's not throw a spanner in the works just yet and see what democracy, um, dictates.

This is just my opinion though - of course I'll go with what the group as a whole decide on.

that's our pops! but let's vote on it nonetheless and then go with the result as our decision.

15336 it has to be one of you moderator guys - i've tried to set an event up and a poll but in vain. can either you or dan do it, mo? would be very grateful. this thing is stuck in the mud.

15336 i really don't think we can move forward unless we make a UNANIMOUS decision on whether to ALL stay at Camp Evison or ALL stay in rented accommodation as in previous years. i think we should forget the split, for both social and financial reasons.

man, i'm pretty much ready to say i'll rough it at JE's just to get this moving forward.

not only is time running out in terms of availability but also where flight reservations and annual leave discussions with bosses are concerned.

shall we put this to the vote?

15336 i just hate the idea of us getting split into two groups - those at JE's and those in accommodation. there'll be separate parties, separate chats, separate game-playing, separate love-ins. most of us drink like fish so that'll be a problem with getting to and from both places. not to mention the fact that some will have a cheap holiday while others not. i dunno, man. maybe in a year or so when JE's cabin is all sexy for loads of visitors we can have it there? it's an awesome place and i'd love to hang out there, but maybe it's not right for the dorka yet. am i alone in thinking this? am i being a knobend?

i'm fine wherever we go (and i do love oregon), as i have to travel far anyway, and am cool to stay as long as we book for - although i'd rather not be the person to lock up as that will mean i have no ride to the airport! from what i saw, sometimes a week turns out cheaper per person than fewer days. this, and what Patty said about the beds, makes looking for a place so damn tricky.

15336 Nice place Patrick - I'm up for it.

Still think it's worth making a call to the Serenity Mountain Retreat in Sequim though, just in case.

Did we say no to this one?
http://www.vrbo.com/120773

Otherwise, it's pretty tough finding a place in Sequim. Patty has spent ages looking and I've thrown in a couple of hours too. We may have to get a great place somewhere else, like the Ocean Shores one Patty found.

Owner seems happy to negotiate rates:

OK, going to stop now. Get on board, people! This booking thing ain't as easy as it looks - hats off to JE, Brian and Shelby for sorting us out in previous years!

15336 3 or 4 bedrooms sleeping 18 seems quite a tight fit.

sequim seems an important pull so i've, erm, pulled my finger out and looked for some around there - Patty, you've probably seen them already - please let me know if this isn't helpful.

1. This one sleeps 12 and is $110 - $135 a night so good for the "JE's or Accommodation" split:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/VacationRe...

2. Cabin, 14 Bedrooms + Detached Unit, 9 Baths (Sleeps 22-38)

http://www.vrbo.com/146740

3. Lodge, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-11)

http://www.vrbo.com/368293

Gotta get dressed for work but I'll carry on looking for sequim and non-sequim later.

15336 Oh wow, Dan, nice find! Patty, whaddya think??? Everyone else on the supplementary accommodation list, what do you guys think? I'm easy with whatever you choose, as long as there are several bathrooms and enough rooms so my snoring doesn't kill a dork's holiday!

15336 I love you Patty Gates.

I guess it depends on how many people want to stay in other accommodation. So far there are 5 of us, so, yeah, maybe we need a different place:

Patty
Jean-Paul
Kerry
Jennie
Lara

Ben, you haven't stipulated which you prefer.
