I've added columns for arrival / departure times and airports in our spreadsheet so we can easily work out with whom we can get a ride. I will definitely be needing to bum a ride off someone!

Also asked Gloria if she'd be able to make it, but sadly it's a no. But she misses us loads!

oh my god, this is so sexy.
(Lara gives away the fact that she's a spreadsheet nerd)

start practising saying my name!
"car alarm - lara - car alarm - lara"
kerry will explain...

Squaw (Olympic) Valley - has availability in July (at least according to the calendar). Two buildings but they look close enough to each other.

Ukiah - also available July

Boonville looks nice too

Martha, I'd probably aim for the week ending the 28th July. That's always been the best for all. Or, most, at least.
Yes, good luck with the job hunt, Patrick.
And Mo, I hope some sort of financial miracle happens to you, kindred.
And Kerry, looking forward to meeting Manny. I intend to call him Manuel with a very strong Spanish accent.

I LOVE the Spirit House, but I think the swimmers and fishermen among us may miss a lake or river.

My second choice. It has a river! One downside is that you share the lower garden and fire pit with the neighbour.

Contente looks great - and it has a river! - although there are a lots of double-bed rooms going on, and it's possibly in a bit of a built-up location?
Definitely count me in (even if we don't go for any of the above).
How about we stick to the end of July thing as most people can go then?
Again, THANK YOU.

At the 2012 dorka there was talk of holding the 2013 one on the east coast to give our Easterners and Toronto dwellers a break from the expense of going west. (I'd also get the chance to combine the dorka with a visit to my sister in Albany NY). I guess those lovely polls we used last year will come in handy again.
But, and I stress, I'm in no matter where we decide to go!

So, karaoke theme - Mo's got some great ideas. After the roadtrip singalong Jennie, Patrick and I had travelling back from the wild horses, I'd also suggest an eighties theme - all the older folk would know the songs, and the younger lot would think your "retro" choice is cool. But who cares what the youth think. Stupid youth. Can't top the duets suggestion though.
Bukowski. Shut your face, Dan (forgive me). I'm with Neil in this one. Maybe you have to have a very negative take on life to enjoy him. I say "enjoy", but you know what I mean.
Right, finished my tea and must now get dressed for work. Yippee.

Love you guys and miss you cold turkey style.

Just in case you guys don't know, at the bottom of your photo album page there is a section that says "Want to share your album? You can give friends or relatives this link:". Copy that link et voilà.
I've sunk into a bit of a depressive post-dork stupor. It really is tough to come back to real life after a week like that. Miss you guys. Miss the landscape. Miss it all.

I haven't been able to get onto the Big House website which is a bit of a worry. Anyone else having problems viewing it?
