One employee who ignores everything around him when he has his ear buds in. He has been spoken to a few times and continues to do it.

We are no longer allowed to wear headphones/ear buds at work, so no more NetFlix when it is slow. This just means I can read more! I'm reading The Evil Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil #1) by Gena Showalter on my Kindle and when the battery gets low on that I have started reading Winter Loon by Susan Bernhard on my tablet.

I finished reading See No Evil (No Evil Trilogy #2) by Allison Brennan and started reading Home to Big Stone Gap (Big Stone Gap #4) by Adriana Trigiani.

Thanks, Jonetta. I have really enjoyed the group reads. It's nice having someone to discuss the books with.

Sometimes I come across a book I'm enjoying, but it seems to be taking me awhile to read it. This is happening with The Evil Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil #1) by Gena Showalter, so I am going to temporarily put it aside and read Maximum Ride Forever (Maximum Ride #9) by James Patterson. It will be a quick read and complete a series for me.

I started the No Evil Trilogy by Allison Brennan and the Burning Girl series by Christopher Rice. I will definitely be continuing both, but the Burning Girl series won't be for awhile.

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I had three 5 ★ reads, but the one that stood out the most was Under Currents by Nora Roberts. It was not a book I would typically read and the subject matter was disturbing, but I so enjoyed the strong characters and the way everything turned out in the end.


5. Overall summary of your reading month?
6 more books down, so I'm pretty happy. I just need to work on reading the ones that have been on my list month after month.

It took awhile, but I finally finished reading Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood #7) by J.R. Ward. The writing is so small and my old eyes can't handle it. I'm now starting Lover Mine (BDB #8) by J.R. Ward, same format, so it will probably take me just as long to read.
