Yeah, definitely! What's not to love??! :)
There are so many sub-categories, so much variety, you can't possibily get bored! I've always had a thing for Shelock Holmes, but sometimes I need to lighten it up and that's when stuff like The Dresden Files comes in handy. The series is very enjoyable, and very simple written, and the main character is kind of a doof. I think you will like it.

Cool! I love Edgar Allan Poe :)

147920 Definitely Level 5 for me too.

I am going with:
-The House of Silk: A Sherlock Holmes Novel ebook
-Moriarty ebook
-The Sign of Four paperback
-The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes audiobook
I love Sherlock Holmes, so I will try to read more Arthur Conan Doyle, and if I stumble upon some re-tellings I will definitely give them a go too;
-Alan Bradley's Flavia De Luce series - don't know if I will go through all of them.

I also want to read some more of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files; the rest will come as the mood strikes.

It's still a work in progress, but here's a Zola site with some good information.

Great! Thanks :)

147920 Two Zola books! I've read a lot of Zola including all the Rougon-Macquart novels. ..."

They are both quite enjoyable.
I definitely will read more Zola books. I read some L'Assommoir excerpts when I was in highschool but I never got to read it before.

Fantômas seems to be a pretty cool read. I think I will read that one, too! :)

147920 Oh, I just noticed that technically I did not yet sign up on a level for this challenge. Well, I am going to do it now: I will go with level 5 - 12 or more books;

So far I have read Claude's Confession and Le Voeu D'Une Morte;

Next I will tackle some Arthur Conan Doyle and probably some of Agatha Christie's (wheter it's going to be Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple I don't know...)
Jan 23, 2015 01:56AM

147920 Okay, in the beginning I signed up for just the one book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, and I got through it in no time - it was just so good!. So, I went on with:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe and Everything
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Fahrenheit 451

And I am currently reading Slaughterhouse-Five

It's just like a drug!

I totally agree. We should include works of the '20s/30s

147920 I am a poor planner, I really have got no idea what books to read since sci-fi isn't really my forte (though, I gotta say, I love Doctor Who). But I am willing!
Originally I wanted to read just one book, but since I already went through Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and since I've just started The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy it wouldn't feel like a "challenge" if I just stopped there.

Do you guy's have any suggestions?

147920 Hi guys!

My name's Simona, 22, and I live in Sicily.

I am obsessed with languages (especially dead ones) and, obviously, reading! I am a freelance translator and a wannabe-writer.

I read every kind of stuff, but usually I get caught up with one thematic and tend to stick to it for a long time. Love Russian Literature, Classic History and Mythology.

I also suffer from White Rabbit Syndrome, meaning I often have the feeling of being late. Then again, I often am late, despite having grown up in Switzerland ;)

This said; hello Heena, thanks for the invite! Sorry it took me so long ;)
