I plan on reading everything by Jane Austen, and definitely some Dumas and Zola."
Yea, Simona, another Professor! Dumas wrote a lot of books, j..."
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorites, too!I've alread read it a few times.
I love Thérèse Raquin by Zola and I've read a few of his works already. Sure, they are far from being "easy reads", but his books are worth it :)

I wish all of you a great year full of health and luck and obviously books.
I'll join this month's challage on Level 4: Bibliophile with 4 books: two New Adult and two Sci-Fi, all of them ebooks.
1. The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood
2. Winter by Marissa Meyer
3. Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre
The 4th will be a pick of the moment ;)
Since I decided to wrap up some series I've been reading I'll try to read the last two Hitchhiker's Guide books.

I really want to watch Mr. Holmes with Sir Ian McKellen but I want to wait for wintertime when I can cozy up to it in my blanket... because I am weird that way.

I loved that book, Simona! Usually I don't care for books which begin with knowing the ending and then flashback..."
I won't say that it's one of my favourites now, but it was a very pleasing :)

Chapeau to this girl. I am thoroughly impressed by what she has achieved, by her courage, and by her perseverance.
Aside from what happened to Malala, the book gives a lot of insight into the history/political workings of Pakistan. It is really instructive.
I really recommend it, Dagny.

I've been reading Lolita and The Old Man and the Sea. Since we are counting only classics up until the 40s I won't consider them for the challange. I am well on track anyways and I just wanted to read them.
Anyways, I came across this article, mWhat makes a book a classic?, and wanted to share it with you guys.

I already finished I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban today.
I am planning on reading:
Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch
Orange Is the New Black
Lucrezia Borgia: Life, Love, and Death in Renaissance Italy
Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman
Hopefully I can squeeze in some more of my TBR.

@Dagny, I hadven't read that many of Zola's books, but Therese Raquin is my favourite so far.
I liked The Fortune of the Rougonsvery much and it's a close second
