My first non-fiction (self-help) audiobook. I loved the narration but the content was mostly repetitive. I enjoyed it for the first couple of hours but then the things were being repeated so often that I zoned out more than a dozen times skimming over some narration in the latter part. The concepts were good (and the author came up with really creative names for most of them) but I guess if you read (or listen) to the first 6 chapters, it'll cover more than 90% of the entire book's contents.

#10 The Winner - 3/5 - Started out really good but towards the end, it became a bit of a drag. Though, overall it was a nice read (lengthy, but pleasant.)

I'm yet to receive my book (will get it probably in the first week of December) so I'll have to wait. I'm looking forward to reading this book but I hope it doesn't turn out to be as dull as the last two books for buddy read (I still can't believe books by Stephen King, Owen King and Joe Hill could be so disappointing. I think the King family should up their game!!)
Anyway, I hope this one's as good as some of the reviews suggest.

We also have a buddy read coming up next month so keep an eye out for that too.
Have fun reading :)

Hey Errin, welcome to RMFAO! I'm a writer too, but I write dark fiction including horror, lol.
I hope you'll enjoy taking part in the reading challenges and the buddy reads. See you around.

Hey, Bonnie, welcome to RMFAO :)
Is this Ghost Riders in any way related to the Nicholas Cage movies? Or do they just share the name? I'm pretty sure the movie was not historical but is there some connection (I'm very curious to know)?

I've heard of this name a lot - Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, so looking forward to your thoughts on this one!
As English is my second language, I was not exposed to a lot of classic fiction in my early years, so maybe it's because of that that I feel weary very fast when it comes to long descriptive narratives. I'm also a very impatient person, so maybe that has got something to do with it, but I prefer a bit fast-paced and less descriptive works (one of the reasons why I prefer reading Manga Classics over most of the classic books.) So I can relate when you said that you skipped some parts, as I tend to do that a lot in literary and classic fiction.

I am samah, a high school student

Hey Samah, welcome to RMFAO. Student life is hard indeed - I used to read Jeffrey Archer's books during lectures and got caught too many times to even count ;)
Do have a look around at our challenges and buddy reads threads and feel free to participate in the ones you like. We're all here if you need any suggestions or recommendations.
Looking forward to seeing you around!

Hello Bailey, welcome to the group. I am a writer as well, though I mostly write dark fiction (psychological and horror stuff.)
I'm sure you'll enjoy the Fantasy challenge that Dagny mentioned.

Welcome, Natalie. Hope you'll discover more genres here that you'll like.

So glad to have all of you on board! We have a lot of exciting challenges and buddy reads to keep the reading spirits of all the members up all year round, so don't forget to drop by and them all out.
Happy reading :)
