Task Completed: Surprise Sprint: Midway Magic Hour

Proof of Completion: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Ok, I assume we have all the books completed during the Surprise Sprint in the completion post. I'll put it in the central check-in thread. If any of you completed more books and forgot to put it in the SS, let me know and I'll update the post 🥰

Read the first chapter today, and even though I was a bit sceptical at first, I think I will enjoy it 🥰
Love that the book has a timeline and a map at the start, it’s always a huuuuge plus when books have those types of things as I have a tendency to forget world building pretty easily or get different universes mixed up in my head 😅

Aah I understand that. I still find your reading pace very impressive considering how busy your life seems to be. 🤪The start of the month has been rather tranquil for me, and I have had time to read a lot more than I usually do. Will probably not last very long though 🫠
Princesspint wrote: "If someone finishes the letter before hand let them take it. With work I'm not sure I'll get them done in 48 hours. I'll go with the flow and add books where I can when I finish them."Princesspint, did you end up finishing some books during the Surprise Sprint (April 9th or 10th)?
Bernadette wrote: "Benedicte, I highlighted the books finished for the Bonus in Yellow. I will get another done but it doesn't fit anywhere on the SS😥"Does the book you finished fit for the R in the spell-out? If yes, we could move The Lost Hero over to the Genre Attractions, as it is a YA book.

Does participating in a Buddy Read in a different group on Goodreads count?

Thank you for this challenge Michelle! ❤️ I love reading the random info I didn't know I needed, and the tasks are easy enough for me not to stress about finding a book that fits 😊

I'll make the completion post for the Surprise Sprint now, and will update it if/when you add more books completed in the designated time period to the SS 😄

Yohoo! Halfway through the books I wanted to read this month 🎉🎊🎈Had to bend some of the prompts, hope I didn't go too far 😅
Go team! ♥️
Prompt #31 /
Name: Benedicte
Book: The Picture of Dorian GrayAuthor: Oscar Wilde
Date Read: April 10th 2025
Pages: 191
Task:🎙 1. Read a book where a famous person is mentioned.
How it Fits: Chapter 4, Page 46: "I must admit that I was rather annoyed at the idea of seeing
Shakespeare done in such a wretched hole of a place."

Finally got the book from the library, and should have some free time next week to read it if you guys want to. 🥳🥰 I can also wait and read it later if you have some other books you want to read first. 🙃❤️

Wohoo! ✨🎪 Just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray, after having finished Saint earlier today. 🥳 It is close to midnight in my timezone, thought for a minute that I wouldn’t have time to finish them both as I am a slow reader, especially when it comes to classics.🤪 Will update the SS tomorrow as my eyelids are feeling quite heavy right now. 😴
If you tell me what books you finished during the Surprise Sprint, I can post them in the check-in thread for Ashley 🥰 Go team! ❤️🤗

I think only claiming one letter at a time is the way to go 🙃
Princesspint, you should still be able to fit in your books even if someone else takes your letter. For example, you could move over The Lost Hero to the genre attraction, as it is a YA fantasy 😉
Good luck with your reading everyone! ❤️💕💞

Ooo that is exciting! 🤪I think I’ll be able to finish The Picture of Dorian Gray in that time and maybe even squeeze out an additional book 😁
How are you guys doing? ❤️

You’re welcome Carrie. 🥰 Good luck finding books! I saw that they had a good discussion in the Q&A thread for people who had difficulty with the tasks. They can be interpreted in different ways that are not all as obvious. For example, the “book where someone climbs a mountain” does not have to be a literal mountain, but can work if a character overcomes a difficult challenge. 😉

Hi Carrie! 🥰
I think the Q2 bonus is the genre swap, and no, it doesn’t mean reading another genre than fantasy, but reading a genre you haven’t read before/have almost never read before. ☺️ And you can only get the points for it with one book per month 😉
