Hi all! Checking in to see how my fellow Prose Pursuers are doing :)

This month has gotten off to a rough start reading-wise for me. I started by dnf-ing a book halfway through, and then I read two books that were under 100 pages. Now I have barely read for the last few days.. :(

But worry not! I have not forgotten my Quest, and as of today I will Pursue new Prose and Adventures with renewed interest!

Down below is my TBR for the rest of the month. Let me know if you want to do a BR with me, whether it be one of these books or one of your own :)

I just became admin mod of this group and I have let myself get a bit carried away with settling into the role, so I haven't been reading as much this week. A Fate Inked in Blood was unfortunately not available at my library, but I will definitely add it to my TBR. Will try to read Shadow and Bone (formal BR) instead for the Wild Card Roulette. I borrowed it yesterday and will start reading today.

I saw that Bernadette had finished Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping On a Dead Man , which fits for the V in our current Reading Ride, so I added it to the SS. Thought I would let you all know so you don't accidentally put it in somewhere else :)

I actually have the complete illustrated works of H.C. Andersen at home, so I am pretty sure it is him xD Additionally, I am Norwegian, so we learned about him and read many of his stories in elementary school.

For the wildcard roulette, do we have to start the book after May 12th or does it count as long as it is finished during the assigned period of time?

I was wondering the same thing. I think we have to ask in the Q&A to get an answer though. Will do that now and let you know ☺️

Thoughts:
I loooooved this book. Combining an autobiography about very serious topics with super funny drawings was genius. I had not read any graphic novels in a long time, even though I usually always enjoy them. I don't know why I rarely read them. Maybe because I barely own any and they are kind of hidden in a corner at my local library, so I forget that it is a thing I can read.
