Completion PostTeam Sport: Curling
Book: Off to a bad tart
Author: Jan Fields
Date Read: 10/5
Task: Read a book you would call a favorite, since Curling is my favorite team sport in the Winter Olympics.
How it Fits: cozy mystery is a favorite genre, and this book was a 5* read
It was our turn, and we jumped ahead to Travel Itinerary, which had a prompt of reading a book about travel. I'd just finished Go the Distance last night, which was all about Meg's quest and travels after the events in Hercules, so I used that. The other book I saw in our log tagged with travel was a lower page count, so since this was a money earning task, I used the larger book.

Are y'all reading Murderbot 3 this round? I was gonna save it since I have an AI book that I can swap in instead, but I don't want to get out of sync with the buddy reads.
Prompt Name / #: Romances #2Book: Go the Distance
Author: Jen Calonita
Date Read: 10/2
Pages: 336
Task: Read a book where a character has experienced tragedy.
How it Fits: Meg suffered multiple losses in her past, which played crucial part in the present of this story
Sounds good, no rush!Haha, I love that you got a TBR book. All of mine so far have been current reads, but they're all library books so I'm not reading down my physical TBR. Although to be fair, I'll probably die before I can anyway.
Week: 4Book Title: An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good
Author: Helene Tursten
Page Count: 174
Reflection: this had a trope of morally grey main character, that I may love or may hate. Whatcha think? Sorry, trick question lol.
I think Jayme's book allowed her to read down her physical TBR. That's a joyful thing that I wish I could manage to do. 😂
Hi Kat, sorry, I was unclear. I added the basic book data, but the additional info like cover color, setting, etc, was what I was asking to be added, since I don't know anything about the book.
I use them on my phone with Google Sheets, so spreadsheets often don't work the same as on a computer. :)
Awesome, thanks! Just wanted to make sure we had your back, if needed. :)Yes, without word wrap, the contents would still be in the cell; they just wouldn't be fully visible. I wanted to make sure I addressed Kat's concern, but if the word wrap takes up too much space, it can be turned off. :)
Not a problem, Kat! All the text remains, even if it is long and not all visible, but I turned on word wrapping for both title and author (since author was finishing up underneath the next cell too). :) Can you fill in the rest of the book details?Beth, making sure you're doing okay with the task book? I still have time to grab a Royal Diary if something went sideways. 💖
Prompt Name / #: Romances #1Book: The Goblin and the Dancer
Author: Allison Tebo
Date Read: 9/30
Pages: 180
Task: Read a book with an MPG of ROMANCE.
How it Fits: MPG Romance
I got home and I think the Royal Diaries for Anastasia or Catherine will work, since according to ChatGPT both have a St. Petersburg setting.Char, would it be better for you if I took the book, or have you got this? :)
Our turn: we landed on War and Peace, which we can purchase. Our task is Read a book set in Moscow or St. Petersburg.None of the books in our spreadsheet qualify for this task; does anyone have a book currently going, have this as an available option, or can find one? As a reminder, we have three days to complete the task.
