Back! Merry Mazes and Mistletoe Magic has the MMC Harry Walters as a private investigator in London. 133 pages. :)
Absolutely buy! I'm sure I must have a detective/investigator book in the log somewhere, so I'll have a peek. ;)

I have phobias of bugs and suffocation, but I prefer not to have nightmares... I do have a book called The Swarm, so maybe... It's just quite big and I wasn't planning on getting that in. I'll have to browse my shelves and see if I can find something shorter. Especially since I'm not even sure if I'll be able to finish that book; I bought it because it reminded me of Prey by Michael Crichton, which I liked, so idk. Oh, was there a book about worms? Tremors or something like that?
Oh word, just saw the next prompt... I have no idea what book to read... I don't read books with things that scare me! 🤣
I love when books work across challenges. I've been reading less for challenges and more to get books back to my library on time, and hoping the books fit a lot of places. 🤪

Reflection: I listened to audio while exercising. It didn't so much change the story as make it harder to focus on the story.

Our turn: we landed on Library of Congress and paid rent to Mystery Manor. We needed a book featuring storytelling so I grabbed one from the log that ChatGPT seemed convinced worked. Sci-Fi Slumlords has been following in our footsteps lately lol, so we'll see if that continues.

And that's my problem with Magical Realism too. It seems like magic in fantasy world doesn't count; it has to be magic in the real world...?? The only book I can remember is The Oracle of Stamboul but I thought it was awful. 🥴
