Type: Split Prompt
What this means:
This is a Split Prompt, so each of you will pick one half of the theme — one chooses Power, the other chooses Disguise — and select a book that fits.
For this one:
Power might feature strong leadership, magic, influence, political control, or characters wrestling with strength and responsibility.
Disguise might involve literal masks, secret identities, undercover roles, or characters hiding something essential about themselves.
📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.
Some characters shape the world. Others shape what the world sees. 🦸♀️🎭

Type: Mirror Prompt
What this means:
This is a Mirror Prompt, so you and your partner will both work from the same theme — but take opposite approaches.
For this one:
One of you picks Order — a book where structure, control, tradition, or routine plays a central role. Think carefully planned systems, disciplined characters, or tidy resolutions.
The other picks Chaos — a book where things spiral, shift rapidly, or resist control. Think upheaval, unpredictable twists, or characters who reject the rules.
📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.
Some stories follow the rules — others set them on fire. 🗂️🔥

It does deal with trust too since the female archeologists learn to trust each other and then they work together to bring the professor to justice...That sounds like it would work right?

Belle just visited and she brought Toymaker Donna.
Belle’s voice was all honey and rust.
“Some of them didn’t say if they’re playing solo or with a team,” she murmured, watching me like a cat watches a string.
“How careless. Oh… I love the quiet ones.”
Donna just laughed—low and sharp—and handed her a needle.
I didn’t ask what it was for....I didn’t want to know.
Belle leaned in close. Too close.
“Just assume they want a team,” she told me sweetly. “Most of them said so.
But let them correct you if you’re wrong…”
She turned to Donna.
“…If they dare.”
The toys stirred. I swear one blinked. And then Belle looked at me—through me.
“Oh, don’t look so innocent, Lisa. You’re the messenger.”She smiled.
“For now.”
So. If I marked you as a team player and that’s not what you meant—speak up.
Quickly.
Before the toys think I forgot to ask.
Before Belle decides I’m ready for… something more. 😶🌫️

(still mostly me, I think)

I have an A scheduled, but probably end of the week.
I could probably find a quick I after I finish Excavations....

Its pretty funny so far, but I;m only in chapter 1.

Irish narrators, so yummy. I'm seeing the depression that he has and the love that is to come. He's still searching for the ghost causing issues, but I love the relationship he's getting with the two kids.
