137842 Ohhh, good luck!

That'd kill me... without my audio books I'd be down to 4 or 5 a month tops, lol.

137842 I decided I didn't want to wait until after Uno for my next prompt, so dug one out last night, to go with whatever I would be reading next...

I got 'read a book published in the '00s', which worked out perfectly, because another challenge called for Lions, and so I'm finally reading Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent (published in '09). someone gave me a whole set of these about 7 years ago, and they've sat there unread all this time. Oops...

137842 Good luck! lol. It's likely worse for me because I speak the language. Hopefully it's not so annoying in Portuguese :D

I didn't think that one was bad, but it drove me bonkers that they kept using "guilders" for "money", which just doesn't work. The Dutch word for money is "Geld". I got soooooo frustrated with that, lol.

Was it any good? I'd not come across it on my travels yet, but it looks interesting!

I've had Ahnold's autobiography on my 'currently reading' since I joined GR in 2014. I was enjoying it too, just somehow haven't gotten around to even looking at it in the past 6 years! lol.

Does it help if I say it's book 2 in a series of 9 and you already have too many series on the go? lol.
Jan 28, 2022 07:50AM

137842 It totally is now, lol.
Jan 28, 2022 05:01AM

137842 I finished The Curious Case of the Clockwork Man. Steampunk zombies! Totally what was missing from my life!

Not going to start another this close to challenge start, so am going to concentrate on getting through my daughter's box of manga she left here when she moved out instead, lol.

137842 Indeed, good book = AWESOME! :D

137842 I've got many prompts that wouldn't work, so I'll save them for after Uno, or for reading at the end of the month if I've read faster than planned and have time to kill before the next round :)
Jan 24, 2022 08:09AM

137842 Hehe... I'm probably going to draw my current one out until the end of the month, and then put the jar aside for a bit while I read for Uno, lol.
