Not as fabulous as his debut novel, but still a wonderful read. Great for literary fiction and magical realism readers.

A mixed bag for me. The atmosphere is great, but the characters and the infodump endings somewhat ruined the overall satisfaction. this book is currently available to request on Netgalley, though I read it from another source.

A novel not about the Panama Canal, but set during the construction of the canal. If you love character-oriented fiction, this is a great option to try.

An interesting anthology for those who would enjoy short stories infused with African culture.

They had put up an update saying that there has been some problem with the Goodreads API and they are working on it. But it might not be resolved soon since the problem is from the Goodreads' side.

One of the sweetest stories I have ever read. The titular characters are the best!

I loved this magical fantasy-thriller so much! Way more than most of my friends did! It's always fun to be an outlier on the positive side. :D

The first great short story collection of the year. Loved this amazing Nigerian work.

An interesting historical fiction set in the Bethnal Green library during WWII.

Enjoyed this amazing dual-timeline story. It taught me many new things.

Didn't expect to enjoy this book so much! It's not for all, but if you are the right kind of reader, it ought to work well.

The disappointment is always greater when a book about books fails to deliver.

Works exactly as expected, which is both good and boring.

A mixed bag for me, though this is mainly due to my romance reading preferences.

An entertaining historical romance-adventure. Faith-oriented, especially in the final section, so except if you have a problem with that, I see now reason why you shouldn't read this amazing debut. :)

The fifth book of the acclaimed Breadwinner series, a set of MG books talking of a little girl in Afghanistan. An eye-opening story, but best read in series order.

A wacky cli-fi satire set in dystopian NZ. Not for everyone, but if you like dark humour, you'll possibly enjoy this.

An Irish police procedural initialising what promises to be an interesting series around children caught in the aftermath of adult crimes.
