The House of Lost Whispers by Jenni Keer
Not my favourite by this otherwise reliable author. Better not to read this as a timeslip.

Cat's People by Tanya Guerrero
A lovely contemporary fiction for all cat lovers, even if it gets a tad too cheesy at times.

Don't Tell Me How to Die by Marshall Karp
I was an outlier for this "thriller", which felt more like a family drama.

129784 Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
This ambitious Rapunzel retelling is outstanding in historical research, but the writing choices and the gratuitous adult content didn't make me happy.

I just read the review. My suggestion would be to cut out the first sentence. I have noticed that Amazon bots penalise any reference to earlier experiences, either in the same series or other books by the same author. No idea why they do that!
If you want to be further on the safe side, just delete everything before "This book didn't grab me..." before you paste it on Amazon.

129784 Who Wants to Live Forever by Hanna Thomas Uose
Who Wants to Live Forever by Hanna Thomas Uose
One of the most thought-provoking debuts I have read. Had the ending worked better for me, I'd have gone even higher in my rating.

When the Bones Sing by Ginny Myers Sain
A YA book that would work well for the YA audience.

It's very frustrating when this happens. What Donna said is spot on. You just have to censor your review until it loses all signs of a soul. Amazon bots like bot-like reviews, so stick to basic feedback and cut out all personal references. Good luck!
PS: If it is the same review that Donna linked, cut out the words 'nazi' and 'hell'.

Jane Austen's Bookshelf A Rare Book Collector's Quest to Find the Women Writers Who Shaped a Legend by Rebecca Romney
A fascinating book about the women writers who broke the norms before Austen. A great choice for all classic lit lovers.

129784 The Cobbler's Apprentice by Lynette Rees
The Cobbler's Apprentice (The Workhouse Series) by Lynette Rees
It's so annoying when series books are marked as standalones! This historical fiction has a decent plot, but not knowing the background of the characters, I just couldn't get into it

Black Woods, Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey
Loved this Alaskan literary fiction. Don't read it as a 'Beauty & the Beast' retelling though some blurbs have tagged it as such.

129784 Two wonderful graphic novels, though each is quite different from the other.

1. Happy Endings by Lucie Bryon

2. God with Us: Bible Stories on the Road to Emmaus by Matt Mikalatos
God with Us Bible Stories on the Road to Emmaus by Matt Mikalatos
Uses the biblical story of the journey to Emmaus to present some interesting correlations between the Old and New Testaments. A bit tricky for the target age group of middle-graders, but could work for older readers.

It is the EPUB files whose font size you can change. PDFs are fixed-format documents, that's why you can neither change their appearance nor use TTS on them.
Before requesting a book, you just need to see if it is available in EPUB format or PDF format. This information is available in the "Available on NetGalley" just below the blurb on the book's NG page.

129784 Fictionophile wrote: "I am now listening to my first audiobook from NetGalley. I downloaded it to my NetGalley Shelf app.
HOW LONG do I have to listen to it?
I couldn't see any time limit when downloading."

There's no time limit to audiobooks as long as you have downloaded them to your phone. If you are streaming, then the book disappears on archive date. Make sure the book shows up n your "My Books" list - that's the best way of checking if the download is properly done.

Poor Girls by Clare Whitfield
A great historical crime fiction based on an actual gang of female thieves. Had the final quarter been better, this would have rated even higher for me.
