It looks like Christie has the most votes. Let me suggest three titles and see what you all think:
1. Murder on the Orient Express, very good, but a plot most of us already know
2. Murder of Roger Ackroyd, one of the best with a controversial ending
3. Cards on the Table, another very good one with an ingenious ending, and one not generally read.
What do you all think? All should be easy to get from a book store or library (unless you have it already!)

Our posts just crossed!

I was wondering whether they remembered Wolf was married?
Just finished the book, literally just a few minutes ago! Still trying to process it all!

Boy, I am typically off the internet during the weekends, since I am on the computer a good bit during the week, for work. I seemed to have missed a lively discussion!
I am also fond of Kevin as I can relate to a young man who likes to cook. (I was young, a loooonnnggg time ago.)
I think Wolf has better hope of being Sophie's Choice (get it?), but I'm pulling for Alex who can bring Kevin into the circle.
I'm not sure I've mentioned this before, but I have been to Alexandria Old Town many times and love it. I wish I could afford to live there!

Well, ladies and gentlemen (I'm not the only gentleman, am I?) Given my July birthday, it falls to me to come up with suggestions for our next month's read.
I'd like to test the waters to see whether any of you are interested in a change to one of the older mysteries of the classic period. Think Christie or Dorothy Sayers, of course, but also some of the newer ones like Catherine Aird, Peter Lovesey, Simon Brett, Josephine Tey, etc.
As a plus, most of these will likely be available from your local library, so you don't have to buy!
Let me know!

J: I forgot that I had a birthday coming up. I haven't been counting them all, you see. I better think of something quickly! I'll post a suggestion thread for July.
As far as continuing with this book, I think we typically have two threads, one for the final third, less the discussion of the solution, and the other for the solution.

I am ready for the next section. Things are getting exciting! I feel so sorry for Kevin, who is an extraordinary young boy! I see something with Alex, Sophie and Kevin in the future...

Glad you are back. We look forward to you getting back on track. I know when things are tough, certain things have to take a back seat.

Oh, Jill, How awful! Please take care of yourself and your family. You have my very greatest sympathy.

I'm well into this section and am still enjoying it very much. It seems that Alex has explained away his apparent relationship with Elise, and now her cop admirer is also warming things up again. At least we have an idea of who Rosie is!

I think Tina is posting elsewhere in our group. Not sure what she is not in this discussion, though. I think it is nice that we wonder what happens to our group when we don't post for a while!

Congrats on the puppies!

I hope I didn't start the business about keeping people up past their bedtimes!
I have been away from the thread for a few days (ah, the affairs of state!) but have kept reading and am through the first section and ready to go. I was sad about the death of Robert; he seemed such a nice guy. And botulism? Perhaps someone in Old Town is hoarding Botox. Or is that just a wrinkle in the case? [Groan]

Whew, I'm not quite that far along, but just finished the section of the auction. Lot's of interesting characters, many of them familiar from the previous Diva books we have read and discussed. The "attack" on Natasha certainly does seem fishy, as does the whole "Max is leaving her, no, she is leaving him, and there is already somebody in the wings" business.
Enjoying this a great deal. I read just before going to bed and I say, at the end of this chapter I'm done! Then there is a hook to keep me going for "just one more".

Hello, Krista, and welcome to our group. I think this is perhaps the third or fourth of the Diva series that we have read, and I am looking forward to the discussion. (I got the book from Kindle just yesterday, to start as fast as possible.) I'm enjoying it so far, 8 % through already!

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved cat. Our animals are indeed part of our family!

I plan to be on-board with the JUne title. Enjoy your May discussion. And J: best wishes for a great recovery!

I have the Mrs. Bradley TV shows, there were only a few of them. I did read one of the books and the character in that was quite harsh and almost unpleasant, as opposed to Ms. Rigg's portrayal, which was a good bit less so.

Sounds like a plan, Tina. Add thanks for remembering my birthday. It is a while away just yet...

Thanks for the compliments! I will still be peering in from time to time, as always. I can't wait till I retire so I will have more time to read!
