I am finishing a Ngaio Marsh book, which should be done today. Tomorrow, I will start the main read.

I'm in for Under an English Heaven. Surprisingly, this is not in our library system, but I can get it in the Kindle fairly cheaply.

I'm voting for Under an English Heaven. Sounds very interesting!

Good heavens! Too many choices! Murder Most Deadly sounds interesting.

NicoleG: I thought the same about all the text after the disclosure of the culprit and the motive, etc. Perhaps, as the series continues, the detail of the other characters will become of more interest. Clearly, he seems intent on coming back.
Kaya, I agree with you to some point about the Fins. It did seem sort of an odd group, and since I'm not a young adult book reader, perhaps this is typical of that. I did have my concerns about how they went ahead and did things that most police would object to. I think I commented about this earlier, as well.

Finished this Sunday night. Fairly satisfying ending. One of the things I like best in the book was that the standard characters were quite different from the standard ones we see in so many of our reads. The secret library and the "fins" were an interesting change.
I remember that there was a earlier book, where the concept and characters were originally introduced. I saw at Barnes and Noble that there is a third book in the series, following this one. If I didn't have so much on my reading plate, I'd check into these two.

I am just on chapter 13 and I really have no idea. Clearly Nigel is indicated at this point, given his mysterious disappearance from the house. They seem to think he has either left completely or is secreted somewhere in the house. I think he is dead. They need another body at this point. Also, the crazed fan, Maria Stone seems too obvious at this point. Probably one of the other romance authors seems likely.

I don't think our library has an audio book of this. That would have helped, given my self-imposed reading list, which I am behind on! Actually, I didn't find the boys annoying at all. Their names, perhaps, but that is all.

I am all ready for it. This book does seem to be longer and wordier than I hoped for, though I am still enjoying the plot and anxious to see what happens.

And yet the local police seem very nice to her. It seems unusual in one of our books where the police are not openly hostile to our intrepid local sleuth. A nice change, though.

No Allison. Never heard of them. Sounds great, though. We did recently get a Sees store locally, and they are our of San Francisco as well.

I just discovered Lindor dark chocolate mint truffles, available only around Christmas, and now their dark chocolate orange ones. Yum! Not that there is anything wrong with milk chocolate...

I still don't see how I can post pictures. Not that I have a great need to, but, still.

I'm just a bit into this section (through chapter 7) and we find the body of Ms. York. (Not really a spoiler--this happens very soon in the section.)
The thing that surprises me is the amount of work Jane and the staff do in terms of trying to investigate the crime, prior to calling in the authorities. Including fussing with the body and the adjacent area. I guess they worked as a team in the first book and feel OK taking this really critical and illegal step on their own. Of course, we all know that they will find the solution, when the police do not!

I agree that the naming of the rooms is a little too cute for me, but I have to admit that the business about them all learning martial arts is new. I wonder if Jane will end up subduing the killer that way?

Dark chocolate is very good for you. Not one to take chances, I've eaten enough that I don't need any more until the year 2043.

I am finished with this first section and the plot is certainly thickening! Lots of possibilities for problems, though no murder just yet.
I have another book pressing on me, due date wise, so I will try to move quickly on this. Enjoying it so far, though.

I did really enjoy the book and will check in on future adventures of Beryl and Edwina!

I note that the book is 300 pages longs and the font is very tiny. This is a long read, but I will manage!

Started last night, but only about 30 pages in. A lot of characters to remember; perhaps the first book would have helped me keep track of them all!
