I understand the sink or swim problems. We are down to very few active readers, I'm afraid.
Having said that, I am up for one read a month in the parlor.
We had talked about Death in Ecstasy , by Ngaio Marsh for April, but I seem to remember that Allison was the only one interested. Is that wrong? If so, how about that for the May read?

Finished it. Holding comments for the final section.

Whew, I was afraid I missed something!

Again, I may not be there yet, but I thought that, though burned, Cashmere might still be alive.
Don't worry about spoilers within the section we are discussing, as far as I'm concerned.
According to my Kindle, I am just 51% of the way through the book.

Don't worry, Tina, its very likely I just forgot!

I either don't remember that last part, or I'm not yet there in the book.

Have any of you noticed the parallels from Christie's Ten Little Indians? Obviously, the who group (apparently) to be murdered off one by one? And one chocolate missing from the box each time, like one Indian statue being removed with each murder? And where are the police in all this?

My money is on Brice as well. Some of the women are really over-the-top, so I'm not considering them, at least yet. I do like Tessie, though; I hope it's not her. And since I am NEVER right picking out the culprit in advance, you may want to take that into account!

I was in Hershey as a child. I live in Pittsburgh, so a visit is just about 4 hours away. The street lamps in the city are shaped like Hershey's kisses!

Still no idea, but trying to keep all the nasty people straight in my mind. I'm reading this on a Kindle, which makes referring back to remember who is whom kind of difficult!

I started into this last night and am not yet very far along. It looks like this will be a fun read, though. I am still trying to picture the scene where Anna discovers the body in the car!

There is no TV adaptation of Busman's Honeymoon, however. And the book starts out with them already married. In the TV version of Gaudy Night, they final kiss and agree to marry, but no wedding there, either.
Allison, I would be willing to start Death in Ecstasy right now, if you'd like. I've finished the book already and any others can pick up as we go along. I'm just starting 13 Chocolates now. I wanted to get into in last night, but just didn't feel up to reading and went to bed!

I think you mixed up Sayers and Marsh, Tina. There were some Marsh TV adaptations done in the early 1990's, with Patrick Malahide and Belinda Lang (Mrs. Hugh Fraser, in real life!) I have eight of them, though this book is not one of them.

I think we are planning to start Thirteen Chocolates right away, so I will put off Death in Ecstasy for a little bit, until we are ready! I started 13 yesterday, so I'm ready for that.

Nicole: I think I will need to look into Audible. I have a lot of the Wimsey books on CD, unabridged, which I listen to in the car. But Busman's Honeymoon is not available (at least when I looked last). And I do love the Wimsey books! And the radio shows, and TV adaptations!

I guess I am hosting the Marsh book. To start April 2, if that works for anyone participating.

I think so. I haven't heard any other options.

Yes, Allison. That works out fine-- I realized my mistake soon enough! I am planning on reading and participating in book books for April.

Wait, I see I agreed to host Marsh, if we do it. I get so confused!

Did I agree to host Chocolates? I can't find a post, though I meant to offer. I don't think anyone else has offered either. I did get it on Kindle.
