I'm excited for you to try again. Just make sure you're busy doing something that prevents you from reading. That's how I got into them, I wanted to keep reading but needed my eyes for something else. 😆

That price is a bit steep for what amounts to a short story.

125752 So sorry to hear about your friend's loss Judy. That's really tough.

I think we should have an annual TPAM weekend/ trip. 😁
125752 Glad you enjoyed it Angeli. I'm really looking forward to book 2.

Sorry this one is hard to figure out. It's been republished a few times. The one I posted is the one that was nominated for the Audi award. But you can find the same story in various formats.

Wool, Shift and Dust were the original 3. Then they came out in an omnibus. Then I guess that new audio.

Your best bet is to look up Hugh Howey at your library and see what they have.

Silo is a compilation - I think

Actually, I agree with you about the background sounds. But I think it's only because I'm so used to listening to regular narrations. I adore multi-cast performances.

125752 OMG, I just though of something! Jill, you should try a Graphic Audio. I'm sure your library has some.

This is where they come from: https://www.graphicaudio.net/

They have all the amazing series. The Pierce Brown books, Rebecca Yaros, eek, I'm drooling a little. These are so good!

Actually, all 3 of those up there are addicting series. Trying to get Jill hooked on audiobooks. I'm such a pusher. hahaha

125752 I'm going to stop on this one. Because I'm afraid I could go on forever and ever.

It's partly historical and partly dystopian with a splash of sci-fi. It also has a narrator with a dreamy accent reading that all too wonderful English wit.

Oh, and it may be a free listen on KU. I haven't checked in a long time.
