I set a timer. "end of chapter", 30 mins, anything you like. Although I do sometimes have to rewind, I just go back to the last thing I remember.

Like Jill mentioned, the story keeps my brain from going down incessant rabbit holes when I'm trying to fall asleep. I've even seen some soft wirelesss speaker headbands comfortable to sleep with.

Listening is a lot slower than reading!

I didn't read that BR, but from the blurb, it does sound similar.

I initially got into audiobooks while driving longish distances. But over time they've infiltrated every part of my life. I don't think I can even fall asleep unless it's listening to an audiobook.

If you try again pick a genre you really like and sample narrators until you find one that you enjoy listening to. My favorites are men with English/Scottish/Irish accents. But everyone likes different performers.

They're really handy with whisper sync when you have to put down a book you really don't want to.

Fabs you’re killing it this month! I think I’m only a couple chapters in, but I’m liking it so far."

It's only because I've gotten the audiobooks for these first two. My actual reading is nearly non existent and Alexa will read my KU books, but she's a bit of a mess.
125752 I finished! Loved it. Looking forward to book 2.

I didn't realize this one was so short. I already finished. Short but so emotional. It made me want to queue up the next one in the series.

Thanks Kirsten!
125752 I'm hoping to finish this evening. (view spoiler)

I'm loving the story. Fairly original and developed plot. Interesting characters.

I like to eat sweets but not necessarily read them. 😂

It's not that I didn't catch all that, it's that I guess I took the story as almost a toungue in cheek romance, being sarcastically in your face about the silliness of romance plots.

Maybe I gave her too much credit and she actually meant this to be a romantic plot? 🤔 Because in that case...stars...what stars?

Yeah, my tummy got twisted thinking something was coming up. Part of what kept me up last night.

A stereotypical one? 😂
125752 omg an English accent ❤️❤️❤️
125752 Starting this one today! Yay for free audio.
125752 Oh! I forgot to say I really enjoyed the narrator. He's good!
125752 Jill wrote: "42% Pet peeve [spoilers removed]"

You gotta admit she did stereotypical for everything in this book. 😂
125752 Finished. Not gonna lie, I may have slept through some of it. I bought the audiobook and couldn't sleep last night so I had it playing.

Goodness gracious, this was sweet. I have no idea what to rate it so I'm going to wait for what y'all decide.

It was a great palette cleanser for me since I usually read darker or action packed stories. I am ready for my regularly scheduled programming. hahaha
