125611 Margaret F, who I had in mind, has yet to take up this thread but it's open to everyone! Which authors do you have in abudance at home, that you have not read yet? Here is who I can cross off the list; some only as of this week. I am commencing 2015 blowing through a lot of newbies.

Caroline Roe, Barbara Michaels, Anne Perry, Lilian Jackson Braun, Allison Kingsley, Heather Blake, Sister Carol Anne O'Marie, Madeleine L'Engle, Ellen Crosby, M.C. Beaton, Joan Lowrey Nixon, Carolyn Hart, Susanna Kearsley, Yasmine Galenorn, Annette Blair, Leann Sweeney, Paulo Coelho, Gillian Roberts.

Wow, 18 authors! I have done well since I created this post in April 2014! The only ones I disliked, upon first book thus far, are: M.C. Beaton, Gillian Roberts, and Allison Kingsley. The latter is odd because I love her like mad as Kate Kingsbury. I have done well and perhaps these folks' second books and onward are better. Also in this pile are newly-adored favourite authors and journeys for which I gave five-stars, which is extremely special and a boon to my collection.

125611 Sarah, Nina, Cassandra, Yvonne, Sue, Vicki, Tizzy, Shonna, Jessika, Geranium, Mave, Kristine, Margaret: I thought it would be nice to thank all of you for being in my group and to say hello!

The really special thing is that some of you are in Ethereal or My Kind Of Mystery, or not signed up to any just yet. But you are here for my information, or merely enjoy talking with me and I look forward to that. :) Some are signed-up to Gentle Spectrums itself. It is important to me that you know, I appreciate you all. Yours fondly, Carolyn.

125611 This group started out for Gentle Spectrums. These activities are photo-related and Goodreads is a better place to handle those. Without enough members to warrant groups for my other themes, I use it to share personal and all group news. This year no one should miss information or events. Members are either subscribing to my blog, or wanting an e-mail when anything is going on. No more wondering if they know, traipsing across blogs with reminders. It shall pay off. Every year there is a new face and reprisals from first faces, is praise too.

A few friends here aren't yet signed-up into 2015 linkies. They're just glad to hang out and support whatever I'm doing, or they're considering a challenge. Margaret F occasionally does buddy reading and we used these rooms. ;-) I always hope whatever I do, leads to readers of my blog articles and also to challenge guests. I have seen good signs that keeping up my non challenge-related writing has paid off. It is my two recent articles that have brought new subscribers, to my pleasure! About the blight of 2014 for a surprising many and also my stepping back into music.

125611 I have started the year treating myself to recent novels, that would suit Yvonne nicely. I have *AS MANY* 1990s, 2000s, 2010s novels I have not tried either. Before I use up birthday and Christmas gift certificates on work I'm unsure I like; I'm at last giving them a try!

125611 It's fun to give ideas to everyone wanting a look. With Bev's bingo cards needing to be planned carefully, my focus turned to 1960-1989 books. If she took away the line and allowed all literature to 1989, I would love mixing older with the fairly recent! I was saved oldies for this year. It is going to be filled with MANY old greats, from whom I have never read a page.

125611 If folks wish to start now, go ahead! I am known to visit everyone's blog with a welcome. I've seen a little cheating in all my themes! ;) Funny to note completed books well before our new run has started, which is why our 2014 logo picture and topics are still on here. Those who launched with me, may have finished for 2014, although I'd like to see prize points comments. I hope you all are excited to attribute what you're reading to 2015. Anyone who would like to; well, the word is that I'm not picky. :)

125611 Here's hoping this year's participants are active enough to let contests occur. Here I invite "Gentle Spectrums" folks to gather threads for personal progress, further to the blog for dropping of reviews and signing up at the main page. Chatter for "Gentle Spectrums" can start right now. Everyone is welcome add books to this bookshelf too.

125611 Anyone type those words and look it up? Here is the updated post. Don't forget that while
our final 2014 riddle is revealed; that is part (1). I give until February 1, 2015 to solve part (2): the bookcover origin of our début logo! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

125611 A second person hazarded a guess; these two SOLELY because an idea occurred to them off-hand, of who it might be. No one made an attempt by looking it up on the internet and one person commented, to say they were playing. I hope participation rises in 2015! Rather than merely reading about someone else's mysteries, I hope to inspire us to solve a few of our own! I did a test this morning, looking up my clue by rewording the incident itself without the external details.

I'll leave you to see how it pans out to look up: "Author hit by a car". I will say, despite occurring fifteen years in the past, the first TEN search engine results pop up our answer immediately! I will write a post congratulating that second-guesser, for whom it paid off. It's Emma, of Words And Peace! Hip hip hooray!!!! I dedeuce I know which prize she'll choose. Q;-)=

125611 One person has guessed right! That means "My Kind Of Mystery" 2014 participants have nothing to lose by e-mailing guesses by Friday. If no one else solves our fourth riddle on the first clue alone, one person takes the prize. Let's give her some competition and make it a draw!

Who was knocked down as a pedestrian and hurt very seriously? I said it wasn't exactly a mystery author but one who excels at their craft. Look it up on the internet. Shoot guesses my way. I'll tell you how warm you are, so don't wait to confirm if you're right! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

125611 Today is the closely-estimated birthday we chose for the Mom of our four youngest cats; our dear white Love included. Interesting and poignant, the very last set of photographs taken of him in July are with his tiny orange Mother.

Odd personal trivia: from September 7 to January 7, she is the same age as her babies.
Today she rises to age 5. Happy fifth birthday to you, our sweet MARIGOLD!
