Ops! Been over 6 months since I read this book, so guess I forgot come of the things that happened. I got a surprise at the end of episode two. Now it is waiting until Friday to follow up on what happened.

I watched the first episode of Lessons in Chemistry tonight along with the 7 min bonus spot. Two episodes are available, but it is late, so the 2nd one I will watch tomorrow. I think so far that it is following the book pretty well.

Two episodes drop tomorrow Friday Oct 13th on Apple! Then again every Friday.

The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown

This will grace the theaters on Christmas Day - December 25, 2023. Directed by George Clooney - starring Joel Edgerton, Callum Turner, Peter Guinness. Just a humongous cast and crew.

Yes I tried not to turn TV on so I could read tonight....but I finally had to. It is in English and I watched about 5 min of the first episode. I was able to turn it off, but then I watched my next episode of Quarterback...lol! Finally I got the TV back off...lol!

Karen all the trailers on Netflix is in English - did you go to the show itself and find it not in English? I know it originated in Germany, but I thought our version was in English.

And no, I refuse to watch captioned crap! I too get stuck on reading the captions and lose the whole show. I am nothing but unfulfilled and disappointed in what ever I watched - remembering nothing and caring even less about it!

I will wait until I have the book in hand again. There are like 35 books in my library system and none are currently checked out - so I should have it really quickly. LOL! Before every one realizes that this series came from a book, and there is run on this book lol!

I had this book in hand earlier this year and had to take it back to the library unread due to too many books coming in off my hold list at once. So there it still sits on my library list of books I want to read.

Well maybe I can read it as I watch the series? I have done that before - read as much as I think each episode will reveal, then watch that show...lol! Not ideal, but I do like to read the book first!

The series started on Netflix Sept 7th - this last Thursday. Six episodes. Each episodes should be approximately 45 min long unless they run varying lengths. Total run time is 4 hrs and 46 minutes.

They say spine tingling and pulse racing - so if you don't like horror thrillers be alerted now!

I went to IMDb and see that this is just a movie - I could have sworn they were talking about it being a series. So I am moving it to the correct folder. Thanks Karen

I have only watched the first two episodes of Will Trent - hoping to watch more of them yet this week. I dont think I care for the actor playing Trent. Or maybe I dont like the series? I am not sure yet. I dont seem to be in any hurry to get back to it, so something is putting me off. Maybe after a couple more episodes I will know?

I just finished the book and immediately watched both the movie and the documentary. Both films followed the book really well. I enjoyed the documentary better than the movie.

If you read the book be sure to immediately follow the notes indicated. There are about 75 pages of notes and they are really important. I read each note as it was indicated in the reading. They were all helpful and add to the story. The author Graeber knows how to add notes to make the story better.

Having recently finished Karin Slaughters series Grant County, I tried to read the first couple books of the Will Trent series. For me it was a no go. Had I not just finished one series by her I might have been ok with this series. So I am going to start watching the Will Trent TV series without reading the books - which is really unusual for me. I like to read the books first, then watch the series or movie. But just not happening this time. I will be back to make comment once I watch the first two or three episodes on TV.

Will Trent is a Karin Slaughter series - from way back - starting in 2006 and with the latest book coming out this month August 2023

The Will Trent series takes place in Atlanta and features GBI special agent Will Trent, his partner Faith Mitchell, and Angie Polaski. Beginning with the third book, it becomes a spinoff of the Grant County series with the introduction of some of those main characters. The movie is suspended due to the writers strike. No idea when filming will resume so the date of Feb 9, 2024 may not be correct. No word on whether this will be just in theaters or also on streaming.

I am not great with reading rom-coms - however some have surprised me. I do like to watch some comedies tho. I may watch the first couple episodes without having read the book.
