1199115 Geesch - I wish this one would just push thru all the rest of the show. This week to week stuff is frustrating. Still enjoying and know that I won't want this one to end...

1199115 Still watching one episode a week. Still enjoying...

1199115 This finally hit streaming. It is on MGM+ a free channel.

I watched it over the weekend and loved it. Been awhile since I read the book, so can't comment on how close the movie followed along, however I know it hit the highlights - everything that I remembered. Even having read the book and knowing how the races turned out they were still exciting to watch.
1199115 Coming soon a new series about the Bosch character Renee Ballard

1199115 One Day by David Nicholls One Day by David Nicholls

This is one I just heard about. It is a romantic comedy. It actually started on Netflix this last February. There are 14 episodes.

Goofs
Dex calls Emma "Emily" when chasing after her. He calls Emma this as a joke, as his father had incorrectly just called her "Emily" in the show's timeline, seen earlier in the series.

1199115 I watched the first episode of Ripley tonight. I thought it was good. It has been so many years since I read the book - The Talented Mr. Ripley that I don't remember much about it. However I did remember the reason Ripley went to Italy and kind of remember the stairs. I am hoping the series brings more of the story back to me.

I kind of like that it is in black and white.

There are 8 episodes and they are all out to view. I only watched the first episode tonight and will probably watch them one at a time.

1199115 Watched all episodes available. I find that this one is following the book really well. I am finding it very interesting especially since it is based on the Kurc family's real life.

1199115 Watched and enjoyed the second episode. Wish this one was going a bit faster. I hate waiting a week between episodes. However it does come on just minutes into Fridays. I was just ready to shut off my TV and go to bed when I realized it around 11:57 pm, so I waited and by 12:05 am on Friday the next episode was viewable. Couldn't resist - stayed up and watched it.

1199115 Here is a sneak peak at who Just Jared thinks should play in the movie. This is NOT the stars who have been cast - just one persons idea of who it should be. But I think he may be close in some instances...

1199115 Watched the first episode and loved it. Been some time since I read the book, but so far it seems to be following the book pretty well.

I was also reminded that McGregors real life wife will be playing in this with him.

"Rostov declares that “the heart must always be a priority,” and the love on display here is influenced by the changing times in which he and his friends find themselves. To that end, McGregor plays opposite his real-life wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Rostov’s love interest Anna Urbanova, a starlet with whom his fate becomes intertwined. "

Not sure when she first will appear tho.

1199115 I see that there are 3 episodes released already. I have only watched the first one so far - hoping to watch the next two tomorrow. Having just read the book I think the show followed it really well. We will see if it continues that way.

This is the authors debut novel - based on a true family. Nice that she got a series on her very fist book.

Some people are not happy with who is playing the Count - Ewan McGregor - however he seems to be exactly how I pictured him.

Trivia
Mark Ruffalo had a lot of doubts about his performance during the shoot. He often half-joked that his friend Oscar Isaac, who was filming on a nearby sound stage, was going to be called in to replace him. One day, Willem Dafoe pranked Ruffalo by taking him to a room where Isaac (who was in on the joke) was waiting. Isaac and Dafoe informed Ruffalo he was fired and, indeed, getting replaced by Isaac.
