Nice! I have Faust in German, but I haven't started studying that language yet.

Great list!

Yeah, not everyone has set it up, so I figured it would be easier to keep track of the numbers this way.

Usually when I buy a book I go with paperback, since it's cheaper, but I loooove getting hardcovers whenever I can. I find them easier to hold open beside me while I'm eating, for one thing, haha! They tend to last longer, too, and they're generally made with higher-quality materials. And I think they look better on a shelf, especially old cloth-bound classics - those look downright majestic. I never use e-books, personally.

Sorry, Sandy, I only just noticed your question. I had planned to post the tally at the end of every month, but I was sick when February dawned, and now I'm busy playing catch-up, plus people have been e-mailing me their numbers directly, and there have been late-comers as well, so... it hasn't been so easy to do the math, heh. I'll post it here once I've added it all up, but I can't make any promises as to when. Between e-mails and the group page, I have a lot of double-checking to do to make sure I don't count anybody twice or miss somebody out altogether. I need to word my end-of-the-month e-mail better next time so there's less confusion about where to post the numbers. Sorry about that, folks!
I'm pretty sure we crossed the 1,000-book threshold in January, though! We definitely need to shoot higher for the year - maybe 10,000?

Her Schindler's List performance especially was spectacular.

I love figure skating, too, but my favourite is the pairs. Those girls are insane being thrown around like that, I love it, haha! I do love ice dance when someone incredible is in the competition, though, such as Tessa and Scott.
Have you been watching the team event? That little Russian girl was incredible!

YES!!!! I have been glued to the screen all day. So exciting. :D

Here in Canada we get 24-hour coverage, and most of the live events are on overnight, so I don't plan on getting much sleep this month, haha!

I believe it! I feel the same way about Christmas movies. I've only read a handful of Christmas books, though. Which ones do you recommend?

For me, it's anything written in the Victorian era - Dickens, the Brontes, Hugo, Dostoevsky... doesn't matter what country the author came from, there was just something about that era that produced genius writers and countless literary masterpieces, and I never feel more "at home" in my reading than when I'm fully engrossed in a lengthy Victorian tome.

Thanks, Melissa, that saves me the trouble! We're definitely going to have to think bigger than 5,000, everyone. :D
