Here are a few other suggestions

- Piers Anthony is an excellent fantasy author. You might try his Incarnations of Immortality series or the Apprentice Adept
- Linda Buckley Archer's Gideon trilogy is excellent
- Mike Carey's Felix Castor series is akin to the Dresden Files but maybe darker
- Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next is a neat mix of mystery and fantasy.
- China Mieville is excellent; Perdido Street Station, The Scar
- Maggie Stiefvater's The Scorpio Races
- Jodi Taylor's Chronicles of Saint Marys.

I've probably got time to read one more Hall book in Feb but I've decided to focus on my other challenges for the rest of the month and will start my March focus author, Simon Brett next, with An Amateur Corpse, the 4th Charles Paris msytery.

I hope it starts to make more sense, but at the same time, it doesn't really matter. The journey is half the fun.
