7. The White Road by John Connolly (Charlie Parker #4). Scary mystery set in South Carolina. Not a horror story but it gave me the whillies and I sure wouldn't want to go there now. LOL (4 stars)
8. Spaceboy by David Walliams A middle grade adventure about a girl, Ruth, her 3-legged dog and a spaceboy who has crashed to earth as they try to avoid pursuit. Great artwork and a fun story. (4 stars)
My favorite is probably Denison Avenue by Christina Wong. Touching and endearing. Loved it.
Currently Reading
1. 12 + 4 Challenge - The Complete Orsinia: Malafrena / Stories and Songs by Ursula K. Le Guin One of Le Guin's earliest works that she worked on for years before it was finally published. Not Sci-Fi or Fantasy but rather historical fiction set in a fictional country that is part of the Austro-Hungarian empire. It took a bit to get into the flow but I'm enjoying, finished the Malafrena section and now moving into individual stories.
2. Ongoing Series - Maddie Hatter and the Gilded Gauge by Jayne Barnard. Just about to start. There is parasol dueling I believe. 😎🌂
3. Non -Series - Twilight by Peter James Created the Inspector Roy Grace mystery series. This is a standalone about a reporter investigating a corpse buries... except she wasn't dead.
4. Tome Challenge (500 pages +) - The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson. Just started but it grabbed me right away. About climate change...
5. March Focus Author (Simon Brett) - Murder in the Museum (Fethering #4)
Upcoming by Challenge
1. 12 + 4 - City of Illusions by Ursula K. Le Guin (Hainish #3)
2. Series Challenge - Six Ostriches by Philipp Schott (Veteranarian Peter Bannerman mystery #2)
3. Non - Series - The Confidential Agent by Graham Greene
4. Tome Challenge - Gone by Mo Hayder (Jack Caffery #5)
5. March Focus Author - Simon Brett - Mrs, Presumed Dead (Mrs. Pargeter #2)
