She would have a small vile of arsenic next to her that she had been sipping on. "Welcome back," she'd pause for a moment, "Also last time you were here you said my cyanide 'Wasn't real cyanide,' but cyanide isn't a contact poison. It has to be ingested." She felt much better now that she corrected her mistake, even if it was a mistake on Esperenza's behalf. She'd ask in a way where it seems like small talk, "Where are you from?" She wasn't trying to start up small talk, she was just trying to figure it out since she couldn't tell based on Esperanza's appearance.

She'd pause for a moment and murmur to herself, "Cyanide isn't a contact poison. Cyanide has to be ingested to cause any harm." Wait, had she accidentally said it was a contact poison? That would be really she had. She began to doubt herself on whether or not she had said it was a contact poison. That would've been so stupid of her if she said that. That would make her seem wrong. She felt mad at the idea of her being wrong over something she thought she was incredibly versed in, even if she just slipped up on her words. She couldn't get the thought that she messed up out of her head for a while.

Ivy observed the coins, and after a while put them in a bin under the counter. She'd look over to see what Esperanza was doing, although at first she was confused for a moment, she decided to ignore it. She sees plenty of odd things all of the time. She just hoped that the cyanide wouldn't harm Esperanza, not because it would be one less customer, but because she thought Esperanza was interesting, although she wouldn't admit that. She found herself observing the coins more, but they weren't like anything she had ever seen. They were likely from a smaller kingdom, but they're some of the nicest she had seen.

"Oh, it's perfectly fine, as long as you don't knock anything over I don't care what you do," she'd remark with a slight smile, although it looked more like she wasn't doing anything, "Also, be careful with cyanide, since it can kill anybody, no matter what kingdom you're from if too high of a dose." She felt interested in the different currencies, although she knew that they would prove to be useless. "Y'know what, I'd like the other currencies, even if it doesn't reach the required amount. Just three coins of any type would be nice," she felt odd saying this, though. Why was she making such a bad deal? No, she was making a good deal. They're good-looking coins and might be worth a bit if she ever tries to convert them.

Her eyes would light up at this request and would begin to explain them, "Ah, those are," she would pause and click her tongue for a moment, "Mamba venom, cyanide, and pure arsenic. They're all quite dangerous. Arsenic will target the digestive system and slowly kill you slowly and seem like a sickness, cyanide kills your body cells and is actually quite painful, unlike how it has been perceived. Finally, mamba venom is acquired from Black Mamba snakes. Their bites are often called a 'Kiss of Death' since they're quite toxic. The poison targets the nervous system and quickly kills you." She had just realized how long she was talking for, although she wouldn't acknowledge it and continue on to say, "They all taste quite good, although you'd not be able to ingest them since you don't seem to be from here." She would give a soft smile after saying all of this. She wasn't sure if Esperanza would want to learn more about poisons after this, but she didn't care, since she was able to talk about some of her favorite poisons for a while.

She would slightly chuckle and say, "Yeah, I'm named Ivy." She looked over in Esperanza's direction, but not directly at her to try to show that she was paying attention. "A contact poison is a poison that would enter through coming in contact with the skin of somebody," she would explain. She would pause trying to come up with an example, then eventually saying, "So, let's say somebody were to put cyanide on your skin, it wouldn't do anything, it wouldn't kill you since to cause any harm to you cyanide has to be ingested or enter through your bloodstream." She tried to hide her excitement to be allowed to explain this, although she would fail miserably, and it could be seen even at the quickest glance.

"Ah, I see, well the poisons are sorted by least toxic to most toxic," Ivy felt odd in the presence of Esperanza, causing her to want to learn more about her as a person. She realized she had forgotten another part of how she sorted the poisons and added, "That section you're right next to is the contact poisons, to your right are powdered poisons and to your left are liquids." Deep down she hoped this strange person came to be a regular to the shop, even if it was just to learn about poisons, although that didn't say much, she felt that way with most people, she loves to share knowledge on poisons in hopes of encouraging more to get into toxicology. She remembered the cryolite spill on the floor and would begin to clean it up, slightly forgetting that there was a customer in the shop.
