"Well, it'll be good as long as I don't manage to fuck it up, although that's always possible, even if I do enough seasonings should be able to bring it back," she wasn't particularly picky about what she had, as long as it was flavorful she was fine with anything that was put in front of her. Ivy had been striking up quick small talk with the shopkeeps she regularly visited and bought ingredients from. "Carrots are quite good," she'd nod in agreeance, although she kept getting caught up in the atmosphere of the flea market, although she was trying to avoid it. Ivy felt bad because it might've seemed like she was ignoring Esperanza, to fix this she'd look in Esperanza's direction to show she was still paying attention to her.

She always loved everything about the flea market, the smell, the noise, the people, everything about it just made such an atmospheric place. She got so caught up in this feeling she slightly forgot Esperanza was there, "Oh, we need," she'd squint at a grocery list she quickly scribbled onto the paper, "Parsley, scallions, bone broth, and maybe a few other things." She normally just got the things and decided what she was going to make while she was at the store, but she had already decided before to make a soup, although she wasn't really sure what kind of soup she was going to make. "Oh, carrots too," she realized that after a moment she had almost forgotten to say she needed carrots. Ivy felt relaxed due to the atmosphere of the place.

"Oh no, it wouldn't bother me at all. I wouldn't have asked if it'd be a bother," Ivy wasn't lying although she was usually alone on errands, she was fine to try something new. She was slightly disappointed to find Esperanza doesn't have a favorite food, although she could make due. "How would you feel about a stew?" she'd ask, having just come up with the idea. It had been a while since she had a stew, so it'd not be repetitive with the last week. "Oh, also would you like it with or without meat?" she really had no preference of what would be in the stew, as long as she gets fed.

"Oh, you don't have to do anything, just don't die," she'd say light-heartedly, knowing Esperanza would be perfectly capable of surviving most situations. "Or if you'd like to come with me that'd be fine," she wasn't really sure why she said this, she preferred doing errands alone. She hadn't decided what to make, although she slightly knew what she wanted to put in it. "Do you have a favorite meal?" she'd ask after she decided whatever Esperanza says will be what she makes. Hopefully, it wasn't something too hard to get, although she didn't really care, she was more worried about making Esperanza wait longer.

"Oh, no it's- it's fine," Ivy was confused by this because she planned out in her head what she was going to make. "Oh, no it's perfectly fine, also your name is really cool," she'd be understanding towards Esperanza's situation, she had done it many times before. After a while though, her thoughts wandered back to how she would say why she had to close early without directly saying it. Saying it directly would be stupid of her, when she had no avail she would cave and say, "I have to get stuff from the market, I don't have all the ingredients ready." She felt slightly upset for having to cave, although it wasn't as bad as she thought it'd be.
