Okay, so I just finished this one. I think I ended up liking it more than I should have. What I loved was the fae. It's been a very long time since I've read and enjoyed a fae UF book. So thanks for that. Richelle Mead's writing is pretty solid. I read Succubus Blues, and enjoyed it, but had a similar hang up where I didn't really care for the main character and wasn't psyched up about her love interest.
Yeah, I didn't really care much for Kiyo. I missed where he was so great. But Dorian on the other hand...him, I liked. Why does this always happen to me? *sigh*
I am pretty excited about her powers and tapping into her fae side a more, so I'm going to continue with the series.

I definitely have fewer memorable books on mylist this year than I did last year. Last year was an epic book year for me.

I think this one is just starting to get good for me. The first 1/3 of the book was just kinda meh. But I have been missing having the fae in my life.
One of my favorite series. And I LOVE how I never have to wait two years for the next book. This is the second Charley book she's given me this year. Thank you, Darynda. For your awesomeness. Really excited to read this one (after I finish Storm Born, which I think just got good). Looks like it's going to be excellent. Even though the bomb dropped at the end of book 6 is one of my big paranormal pet peeves.
