For the record I was not big fan of the book, but that’s Lee Pace, looking his regal best, and I’m up for that.

This volume introduces* black science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction writers to the generations of readers who have not had the chance to explore the scope and diversity among African-American writers.*This was published in 2000 by the way.
Merlin outlives all his goals...Or something like that. Never considered what happened to him. In some stories he’s immortal.
Tragic hero ending with a dragon, I’ve heard that before. Did Arthur also get the knife? That actress went on to play a female Lex Luthor on Supergirl. Also on some Christmas princess movie my mother has watched a dozen times.
Graeme wrote: "I finished Merlin last night and cried. And that doesn't happen often. Very touched by the ending."
Wow, that’s really something. I watched a couple episodes then I was furious at Merlin for lying to Arthur about what a prick his dad was when Morgana showed him the truth. Morgana has a fabulous look.
There’s a series?!?! I remember buying one book that was so cool with a map, etc (they almost never do stuff like that anymore) but I lost it years ago. I hardly remember it. A girl falls? into another world, learns the language, falls? out again.

The Pilgrims of Parthen by Kristopher Reisz ★★★★★
“Users dreamed of a city — always the same city — an alien ruin...”
This story drew me in like nothing else. It reminded me of time we were all obsessed with Myst. Parthen is the clarion call to the argonaut inside us. I could see it happening!
And dear god, the end...
Last Bloom on the Sage by Andrew Penn Romine ★★½☆☆ “Nightmares were mighty difficult to break; most who tried got eaten.”
I’m a fan of weird westerns but I didn’t quite like this one, even with the bits of Lovecraft thrown in. There was not enough plot or world building.
Looks like Netflix is rewriting some Arthurian legends: https://youtu.be/6XelS6fQbuoAgain, lol, could be good. I thought I saw some Vikings in there.
I don’t know. I hope it’s watchable, I had high hopes for The Order but the MC teen cast was not watchable. Too bad, they had some great secondary cast.
His Sweet Truffle of a Girl by Camille Alexa ★★★☆☆ Sad, but fascinating, story of the very first, doomed, biological submarine. Red Cap October, Red Cap October, do you read me?
Coming to Netflix, Warrior Nun: https://youtu.be/An0bZpuhiBEIt could be good, and I’m not a superteens fan.

The White Hands by Lavie Tidhar ★★★☆☆
Writing prompt challenge: write fifty words or less on each fungi. I don’t count this as a story, there is not enough meat. But some of those bites were tasty.
