114553 The Bumpkinton Tales: The Bachelor is available to buy from today! It is the second novella in the Bumpkinton series and you don't have to have read my other stories to enjoy it, but it helps. You'll find out more on those below too.

Here is the blurb for The Bachelor:

If there is one thing Fenton knows, it’s that he’s a ladies man. With a stylish suit, perfect hair and a seductive smile that can send women weak at the knees, he knows he’s got it all.

However, Fenton has a secret. He’s no longer single.

As the Bumpkinton Singles Night draws close, Fenton arrives in the village to woo the ladies. Even a secret lover won’t stop him from indulging in his favourite hobby, flirting, but how much can he get away with?

You can download it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bumpkinton-Ta...

I have two stories available for free today. To coincide with the release of my new Bumpkinton novella, The Bachelor and that these two are both shortlisted for an IBB SpaSpa award I have decided to do a free run until 25th June 2014.

You don't have to have read them to read my new novella, but they will give you a feel for some of the characters.

114553 Hi Heather

I've reviewed it on both Goodreads and Amazon :)
Jun 04, 2014 05:14AM

114553 Thanks Jonathan :) I like novella's. I want to finish my novel but as you know it's a lot of work. I think I'm happy to churn out novella's for now while chipping away on my novel.

I don't get a lot of time to write so a novel is extremely demanding, but I'm chipping away at it a bit at a time. Hoping to release it next summer :)

I would like to do a Bumpkinton novel, but so far I have storylines that I think suit novella's. I want to come up with a corker of a story before I attempt a full length novel for the village :)

114553 I know I have another thread, but I cannot change the topic or header, so I don't mind if that one is closed down. Thank you to Frenchie for opening it though, it means a lot to have been noticed by a reader before I was even around much on here :)

Anyway, my new novella in the Bumpkinton series is available to buy from 21st June. You can add it to your 'to read' list from today.

I hope people will like it more than the first, this one is more to how I envisaged some of the humour originally and I think the characters from the first have grown a little.

I don't have a storyline for a novel just yet so for the time being it's likely to just be novella's until I think up something befitting a longer tale.

114553 Sorry about this. However, my editor came up with a small idea that will really make that story a little meatier and explain Clementine's actions. It's opened up a few ideas for me to play with and leaving it for me to work on rather than rush will hopefully give me a chance to get it in better shape :)

114553 Phew! thanks :) Hopefully the lower price and the free run will give more people a chance to read it. The publishers price for the word count was crazy.

114553 Due to some issues with my publisher, I have received the rights back to my short story and re-released it on Amazon.

If anybody wrote a review for my story Brainstorm, I would be really appreciative of a new review on my new Amazon and Goodreads pages:

114553 Writing this morning. It's not going great but it's a first draft and I can knock it into shape with rewrites. Just relaxing. I'm much calmer than I was yesterday. Was just an immensely trying week.

next week won't be much better, but that can wait, I don't let work ruin my weekends :D I used to worry outside of work, but I just have one good rant, then it's gone :)
114553 Thanks :)

There's abour 4 or 5 of us who get on with it, but the rest are neither use nor ornament to be honest. The management are far too soft. They want to get rid of 70% of our office because they don't do anything.

I'm no workaholic, I can faff around at times, we all do at some point, but 10 minutes a day is fine, but this loot it is honestly at least 6 hours! :-\

I'll bring it up in my annual review and if things don't change then I'll have to consider my position.
114553 My management is at fault. They know a lot of the people slack and chat all day yet do nothing, but they come to me and those of us who do the work and complain to us that they are lazy?!

This is management, they have the power to do something. I'm being pulled in about 4 different directions. I can only take so much to be honest, I am utterly spent. I barely drink all day and go home feeling sick.
