Just remember Frenchie, if the kindle is miss behaving you can always shut it off...

Enjoy Frenchie

Yes I agree, it is as annoying as "I hear you"

Well we all dislike those of the plastic beauty variety, super models are way to thin and blondes have never done it for me. I agree babies and children until they reach the age of 7 to 8 and the truly innocent have the only true beauty. Those I consider truly innocent are Down syndrome people. Tell me have you ever met one that is purposely deceitful ? I have worked with and have know several and each and everyone I have known has a gentle soul and a kind and loving nature.

I don't think they chose the books to scare, but use them as a tool to teach children what happens when society breaks down, as in the case of LOTF. With Fahrenheit 451, it was used to show what happens when government encroaches to much on the peoples liberties. Mind you I think they need to have a closer look at the age group they are giving the books to. I think 8th grade is still to young. When I read it I was a senior in high school.

I was a bit torqued when I wrote the last message and didn't do a re-read therefore there were a lot of glaring errors. But in answer to you question no it did not go out with typographical, grammatical, or sustenance structure errors.

Here is one that has stuck with me " I've got the Conch" From Lord of the Flies. It shows how man can quickly slip from civilized to savages. Unfortunately I used it once and got blank looks from all. When I was in high school it was mandatory reading, and I figured most schools had the same basic reading lists.

One mans OCD is another mans irritation.

OK a bad joke, but I am trying...

Hmm that reminds me of someone I know at a particular writing group I use to attend, they are always asking me to submit papers for publishing in there booklet. I don't mind doing this as it is a worth wile charity. But just recently they asked if I would be willing to submit a few pieces for there next booklet. I gave them two pieces, and figured that would be it. I got a message saying she thought the piece was good but was going to rewrite a small section of it. I told her I didn't want it altered, as it is my piece and it is either taken in totem or not at all. I really had to get forceful to get the point across. Sometimes they think because it is for charity they have the right to rewrite what ever they wanted. I let the lady I was dealing with that if they didn't like the meaning of the piece then they couldn't have any of it and not to bother asking for more pieces as I won't have my pieces edited by people who think they know what I am writing about better then I do. And trust me on this I know they are as the saying goes whistling Dixie.

Here's a question, Why do the call a Doll a doll? Doesn't Often Look Lifelike

When I was an instructor in the military I didn't use a word I used a process. I would first make sure the room was ready even though I would set it up before going home the night before. Then I would pace the classroom, getting a feel for the empty room. Then I would transfer that feeling into my memory and use the memory to center myself before starting the class. It took a while to work this process out but once I did, it always worked for me no matter the situation. "I guess you could say I have a touch of OCD" LOL

Exactly that's why the old ways are the best, so says this old man anyway LOL.

In those day, they were able to get away with pushing the edge by talking around the subject, or altering it with a different subject. It like the old cat song, the only remember a part of it, I think it was from Benny Hill. " A hot wet bald pussy, Just a friendly little cat" Today they don't push the edge they jump completely over it.

No that's Neverland or is that the first star on the right. No that was Star Trek oh I am all confused now to many star directions.

LOL if I remember the movie rightly he was pixelated by both definitions...

Oh for the day of old, now it would be considered not politically correct.

I use to watch Laugh-in when I was younger, it was on sat night but I had to sneak down and watch from the top of the stairs as I was suppose to be in bed sleeping...
