Flo you are such a rebel, LOL. Mind you if they piss me off enough and I'm in my wife's car I will park across the space an wind them all up. She has a SMART car. I can park 4 of them in a standard American parking place and two in a English one. It is as long as a standard car is wide I can really piss people off when parallel parking by putting it between two cars who think they have parked with more space then they need to get in and out. I will pit it in the middle and watch them scratch there heads. I won't parallel park I will reverse bay park right between them. It is funny watching them trying to figure out how it is done and how they are going to get out.

Or if it is a cat it actually could mean painful. Yes I do know what you are talking about, it rubs me up the wrong way.

I find some of the English sayings difficult to swallow, there are times when my wife will say something and I will have to correct her, which isn't a good thing trust me. I don't have so much of a problem not but it used to be real bad. It is the miss pronunciation of certain words or words used in certain phrases that are all wrong and it really, really grates on my nerves.

I am witless as to what we are doing here...

Oh dear, I would hate that I love cinnamon, I would say I am addicted to it, but I don't need it to get through the day and not constantly looking for my next hit. Mind you I think I still have a secret stash of red hot tamales hidden at work and at home, LOL.

I have to say I have taken the drivers test in the States and in England and I was given parallel parking in both dam the luck LOL. I hate parallel parking but managed to do it both time it was required. I was hoping to get reverse bay parking on my English exam, or reversing around a corner. But no they seem to have a sixth sense as to what the person taking the test hates the most. I may hate it and not be good at it but I can still do it. Yes I passed both tests first time. Mind you the English drivers test was harder. Not just because the have a harder criteria, but also because I had almost 30 years of bad habits to break to take the test. Only took the test so I could go back to the bad habits, LOL and so I could still drive here when I leave my job.

I miss a lot of things Groovy, a country is just a place the most important things in life are Family, My family AKA my children are here in England, I consider my self a citizen of the world. No matter where in the world my children are there I will be. I do miss certain aspects of life in the states and would miss certain aspects of life here if I were in the States. I keep in regular well semi regular contact with my family in the states, so it isn't so bad.

Frenchie, again another though provoking piece, it reminds me in away of my grandmother reminiscing on a summers day in her garden. ( Unfortunately she was also suffering from dementia and thought I was my her brother.) She passed away a quarter a century ago not knowing anyone but having lovely memories, at least she still had those.

Far away

In a land far away I live many ages all at the same time, I can see my first day at school my last day in the military. I see all the houses I have bought all the arguments I have had. All my pain and love show up here.

Sometimes I am me and others not, I have lived many lives here some are mine and some are not. Every book is here for the taking no matter the language I can read it. I am here but I am not in a land far away but not.

Yes Thayer it was directed to you my apologies I am to comfortable here and half the time I don't necessarily direct my questions properly. So I am guessing you mean Minnesota. That is one of the parts of the country I never got to visit. There are many places I wish to visit. But as time goes by It seems I have less and less opportunity to go to those places. I wish to go and see as many of the Civil War sites as I can as well as world war one and two sites in France and Belgium. But that is the story of my life LOL never get to where I want to go but always satisfied with where I am and where I have been.

8" groovy, I would settle for one here, we haven't had any snow for two years at least, I grew up with snow and always though they had snow in England boy did they trick me LOL. In the last five years we had maybe a grand total of 8 inches.

Actually not all allergies cause anaphylaxis shock, it does depend on the severity of the allergic reaction. I am Allergic to mushrooms to the point that I can't even eat a pizza with one half with and one half without mushrooms, or any thing that has mushroom juice in it with out getting violently ill. But I don't have it severe enough to cause anaphylaxis shock, for which I am gratefully thankful. Mind you if I feel like I am dying at the time and it does last for several hours.

Is stupidity contagious ? I swear it must be either that or we are breeding intelligence out of the gene pool.

It is almost as good as the ingredients on a mince beef and onion pie. Warning this pie may contain meat and meat by products.
