Alex did his best to hide behind his parents, too nervous to meet the girls

Alex gave a sad smile, and made a mental note to stop being so sensitive. He was sort of excited to see the girls, but it was hard for him to open up to people. He was just too shy and he couldn’t help it.

Alex looked down in dismay. His brother was always overshadowing him. Alex didn’t like to be the center of attention, but because Matt was first in line for the thrown he was overlooked more than he’d like.

Alex nodded to his mom, half-apologetically for not going in. “How are you tonight, Mother?” He said, he said his voice faltering a bit out of nervousness. He knew the Selection girls were right behind the door and he didn’t know what they would think of him, or how he should act around them.

Prince Alejandro stood outside the door, overhearing everything but being too shy to go in.

“I’m alright,” Nykelyn said, a twinge of annoyance lingering in her voice. She was upset that the other girls had already arrived and been taking to a prince. She was supposed to get ahead of them, first impressions were everything and she wanted to be the first to make those first impressions.

Nykelyn curtsies to the queen, “Thank you, your majesty.” She comes in and sits down, wearing https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&u...

Nykelyn knocks on the door, standing in her formal navy dress. She had heard that the queen was meeting each of the Selected and she wanted to be the first to do it.

Ok cool. Where should they meet? Should we make a topic for the queen’s room or somewhere else?
