((Haha))

Alex sat in the corner and took out a book to read. He knew he should be making the guests feel welcome, but all he felt like doing was reading.

((In reply to role play between Alice and Alex))
“Sorry,” Alex said, his face flushed red. He looked at the ground and walked away. Alice was shy, even compared to him. He could tell that she didn’t want him there, he knew how it felt. Alex cringed at every word he said to her as they played through his mind. It didn’t matter though— this wasn’t his selection. Thank goodness it wasn’t his selection.

((Ugh, school. I gtg))

“It’s okay,” Alex said, quiet and tender. He was thankful that this wasn’t his selection. He was a mess talking to girls. “You’re... pretty,”

((Haha I was saying thanks for answering my question I wasn’t being sarcastic 😅))

((Thanks, Paige))

“You don’t need to call me ‘sir’,” he mumbled playfully.

“What’s your name?” He said, looking at the ground. As soon as the words left his mouth, he knew how childlike and improper they sounded, but he didn’t care. That was who he was.

Alex walked over to the girl in the corner, she was beautiful ((but when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell, you don’t KNO-O-OW YOU DONT KNOW YOUR BEAUTIFULLL [K I’ll stop, sorry])). Her curly hair bouncing off of her shoulders and her inquiring eyes. “Hey,” he whispered to her.

Alex and the girl had stopped talking upon his mother’s announcement. He took notice of a girl standing in the corner. He felt a kinship to her, and slowly slinked towards her.

((Quick question: are there multiple princes in the selection or just one? If so which one?))

This softened up Alex a bit. The girl really seemed to understand. The girl... oh no! He had forgotten her name already! He decided to relax and forget it, he’d find out soon enough. “Thank you,” he said to the girl, sincerity behind his bright eyes.

((Morning :) ))

Alex felt a bit overwhelmed seeing as this girl was a bit more outgoing and boisterous than he was, but in a welcoming sort of way that he appreciated. “Good,” he said, completely unprincelike. He noticed his tone and fixed it. “How are you, m’lady?” He said with a bow. He could tell he was being awkward but he didn’t know how to act.

Alex sheepishly walked towards the girls. He was starting to regret this already. He said all to quietly, but in a cute way, “Hi,” with a shy smile.

((Sorry I didn’t read your latest post, pretend that was before that))

Alex shrunk into the back, feeling completely invisible. His brother was flirting with the Selected, the girls were mingling with one another, and no one seemed to acknowledge him. He didn’t know how to feel about it, so he just kept quiet.

((I’m back :) ))

((Sorry, guys, I have to go. Can we continue tomorrow?))
