As crazy as it is, I think 2020 has been both bad and good for many authors. Good because many people are home more, which means they're reading more. Bad because it has certainly made traditional promotion more difficult, i.e. book signings, tours, speaking engagements, etc.

Thank you Crystal. I'm so glad I started this group, and have been overwhelmed with the response, and how quickly it has grown. I'd love nothing more than for us to have hundreds of members we can expose our favorite SP authors to.

Haha - I left out the most obvious one. Thank you. ❤❤❤

I loved those choose books as a kid. And I do agree on your assessment on detail. The plot/story/characters were there. If there had been another 50 to 100 pages, it would have been spot on in all aspects.
I definitely think we will see big things from this author though.

1. Leave reviews on Amazon
2. Equally important - Leave review on Goodreads
3. When you are talking about the book/author use the add book/author option above and on the write of the chat box.
4. Recommend the book. Not just by word of mouth, but on a books goodreads page, on the top right, it says recommend. Click it, and then select the friends you want to recommend the book to. It takes a while, but that, I find, is the best way to get a book noticed.
5. Vote for books in Listopia, and if the book isn't already in a list, add it to appropriate lists. As many as you can. For example: I added The White Prince & The Way books to several by searching for self-published lists. Now you can do the same, and vote for them. The more votes they get, the higher they are ranked, and the more visibility they get.
6. Share your reviews on social media, especially Instagram.
6.5. Use hashtags on Instagram, the best one is #bookstagram. When you use a tag, even people that aren't following you will see the post.
7. Follow the author on all platforms, Instagram, Facebook, Amazon,, and Goodreads. (most people don't realize you can follow an author on amazon, but you can, and it helps)
8. Join groups, and share your favorite SP reads in those groups.
9. Invite your friends to join our group. The bigger our group gets, the more people will read our SP monthly/quarterly reads.
I hope this helps, and I hope you'll set a goal to do at least a few of these every time you read an SP book. Authors, if I've missed anything, feel free to add to my suggestions!
Happy Reading!

I just finished this book and I have to say, I freaking loved it! Its a Fantasy Reverse-Harem. A Fairy Awesome Story

That sounds interesting Trana. I'll get it added

I would like to kindly (And humbly) request at least a few more thoughtful, honest reviews of my 2nd novella, Redemption of the Rebels. Here ..."
Also, we have quite a few authors in the group, so hopefully a few will get with you on a mutually beneficial promo lol

Sounds good, I'll add it to my TBR. Hopefully a few from the group can help you out!

She's so dingy and I love it!

I'm so glad you joined us!

I was kindly invited to this group by someone called Leon Stevens. On this note, I'd like to know if there's a new-member introduction thread I can post about myself and my works in...."
Hey Ross - so glad you joined us. There is a discussion folder title SP Authors. You are welcome to post your works or promos in that folder for other readers to check out! Once you get them posted there, I will also add them to our bookshelf for easy access.
