Somewhere, maybe here on GoodReads, I saw a poll asking who Carnac really loved. The choices were a) Warrick b) Himself or c) Toreth. I am in the minority in that I think Carnac has an unhealthy secret love for Toreth. Maybe not love, but certainly he is smitten. Of course, he acts like he hates him, mainly because it is easier to do that than admit how you really feel. Warrick is a rational and logical choice for Carnac, but I don't think Warrick holds any passion for him.
Also, somewhere buried in Manna's live journal is a deleted scene from Mind Fuck that has Carnac in it. It takes place in Strasbourg when Toreth was investigating Pearl Nissam's death. The scene was Carnac on his balcony watching a sexy blonde I&I para-investigator and his sister point out that he has a hardon! LOL.

Picture fellow Carnaholics sitting in a circle on folding chairs in a church basement drinking coffee out of paper cups… and now you hear the group saying in a monotone unison “hi Therese”
Thank you for your post, this thread could use some excitement and your comments are most definitely thought provoking.
He is what Warrick should have been. The irony is that even if he makes the world a better place, could Carnac ever have what Warrick has in the imperfect world of The Administration? I agree, Carnac has balls for his role in the revolt. His views seem more theoretical and he approaches them in a dry academic way, ergo the eliminating of I&I workers.
I enjoyed Carnac playing with Toreth (for the sake fo the story of course) and I equally enjoyed Toreth getting back at Carnac in FATW. I definitely would read more of Carnac, either as a standalone or part of TA.

The Beginner's Guide to Blake's 7 Slash is HILARIOUS, but I don't think you would appreciate it till you get to know some of the characters.

The first one (Cold) starts out with a sex scene of sorts, but it's subtle and you almost have to read twice to notice it. Classic Manna Francis style, she drops you in the middle of a scene without any background or setup and forces you to observe to figure out what's happening.

Never fear, she does have some Blakes 7 fanfics. The two that she mentions in her LJ are:
Mindswap http://archiveofourown.org/works/5150...
Autopilot http://archiveofourown.org/works/1135599
But if you go to her page, there are several http://archiveofourown.org/users/Mann.... There are a few standalones and a few multi-part series.
So far, I have read the first 3 parts of ...And What Happened After. The 4th part is much longer and I might read it tonight. The setting is somewhere not on Earth. There is The Federation, rebels, and even mention of torturing interragators. But more importantly is the pairing of Avon & Tarrant. Tarrant is a pilot (spaceships!) and Avon is a gorgeous charismatic computer guy. I am still getting to know them, but there is that push me/pull you dynamic that you see with Warrick & Toreth.

That reminds me, Richard Rider, who wrote one of my favs, Stockholm Syndrome, did an mpreg Pip & Lindsay side story, just for yucks.

She mentioned, with her tongue firmly in her cheek, that she was ready to write the Toreth & Warrick wedding scene. LOL. But then later mentions:
That reminds me, I have a legit, one-day-I-may-even-write-this outline for a story where Warrick and Cele have a baby.
ETA: On reflection, I don't think I can imagine Dillian agreeing to have anything of Toreth's inside her, even if it's just 50% of a baby.
My brain hamster is trying processing this....

If you can put together a poll, will put together a group mail blast. We can cover the poll, promote the listopia voting as well as highlight your interview with Manna. Should be good.

It would be great to get it in the top 100. I don't expect to unseed popular favorites such as Hunger Games or classics such as 1984, but a bit of recognition for Ms. Francis's work would be nice.

Welcome Lisa. As far as I am concerned, the world cannot have too many TA pimps. Glad to have you here!

Xing, that is brilliant. Yes, Carnac in love would be a treat.
