108664 Oh oh oh... some news for once. Direct from http://mannazone.livejournal.com/

All the pieces of the book are now with Casperian and being assembled. Unfortunately, various non-writing life issues have slowed progress a bit, but things are now moving again. I don't have a definite release date, but I promise I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything. (In the meantime, please don't mail Casperian to ask for a date -- time spent answering the mails is time not used for finishing the book. :-)

ETA - she has specifically requested we don't contact Casperian about release dates.

108664 Thanks for pinging. Haven't heard anything lately. Re ebook price, it seems like removing the free books and charging something like $2.99 would be a win for everyone.

You might consider getting an ereader, honestly it's the best way to go for several reasons. Depending on where you live, you might be able to check out MM ebooks from the library vie Overdrive. Band then there are all the freebies, not to mention fanfics. I read Remastering Jerna, and it was meh for me. Not worth an expensive read.

108664 Hi Cindra. The later books in the TA series are strong and you are in for some good reading when you get to them. Have you read much MM besides TA?

108664 sk, I have seen nothing from any official sources about a release date. :(

108664 Web rings... that's a blast from the past. But I can see how useful they might have been to connect readers and writers.

108664 Hi Dusk, I am glad you found us. Sounds like you were an early adopter, do you recall how you found TA? I don't think GoodReads has been around as long as you have been reading TA.

108664 My Carnac has buffed nails.

There is no question, Robert Redford would make the perfect Carnac. If you trim up the 1970s shaggy look and put him in some flattering dystopian attire, can you see it?
(view spoiler) Need something less scruffy, how about this?(view spoiler)

108664 Can I just say, an HBO adaption of The Administration is the best idea ever. As for Toreth, whoever it is, he must be blonde and blue eyed.

Another thing, I assume that since they live in New London that they probably have something that resembles an present day English accent. That has always been something that I have had trouble with. Whenever I read dialog from TA, they sound American to me. I am sure once it's on HBO or BBC I will change my mind.

108664 Too funny Therese. I can just see you screaming PULL OVER I HAVE TO GET INSIDE CARNAC! Where are you, France?

108664 I often reread stories or snippets of the longer ones when I am inbetween books. I recently read Sunday about their breakfast in bed game. I can't even say how many times I have read Game Set Match, I just love that one.

108664 Thanks for for the link PaperMoon. It's been ages since I've heard any news, so glad something is happening. When I check her LJ all it seems she is doing is watching old TV shows, maybe that was a ruse

108664 Therese, great update, thanks! However, I am a bit confused about book 9.

For those that have read Prodigal, this is definitely a prologue for book 9:-). And for those who haven't, read:-). It will be hard, there is only Carnac, no T/W luuurving. This seems to contradict what you said (view spoiler).

108664 People people... I found it! That snippet that Manna wrote with Carnac and and an unnamed Toreth.. She starts it out by saying this is something which very probably didn't happen to Carnac. Or it might have done. Either way, no one who knows is talking.

108664 I need to go on a fishing expedition to find it. I can't seem to easily locate it. A few years ago I read a character interview of Toreth and I can't for the life of me find that. Live journal is such a black hole.
