they can be but i’m just letting you know there’s no house/building for them! and they can’t exactly enter either building on their own

You scared me there, haha, but now that you’ve changed it, they’re accepted!

This is a world where everyone is just human, so i was hoping there would be no ‘part-‘ something

I don’t like the part demon thing but i do like the power!

“At least you have a power,” Eleanor piped up as she mindlessly flipped through tv channels.

Lex was silent for a moment, then sighed and opened their eyes. “I’ll just end up sleeping.”

Lex closed their eyes, shifting their legs to get more comfortable. “So just- think of nothing?”

Lex nodded, not at all phased by the story. “So how do I control it?”

“How?” Lex asked, repositioning themself to face Rhyme.

“I mean- I cant control it. At all,” lex said.

Lex nodded. “Yeah, invisibility. It sucks. A whole lot.”

Lex stopped, then sighed, leaning back against the couch. “Yeah, yeah it does that sometimes. Either when I’m calm, like sleeping, or my emotions are heightened. Nervous, scared, angry, that sort of stuff.”

Eleanor leaned forward and shook Lex’s shoulder lightly. They jolted up, their hands reappearing immediately. “What happened? What’s wrong?” They said quickly, looking around.

Eleanor gasped at Lex’s hands. “Um... I mean, it’s not that weird? Everyone here has some kind of power, other than me,” she grumbled.

Lex slowly drifted off into sleep. Their hands started to slowly disappear, starting at the tips of their fingers and moving up.

Lex yawned again, leaning back against the couch and closing their eyes. Eleanor watched the Hunchback movie end, her eyebrows curled up in surprise. “Quasimodo doesn’t end up with Esmeralda?”

Lex blinked and looked away hurriedly, going back to watching the movie.
