Read The Cipher by Isabella Maldonado. Great suspense with an author truly knowledgeable about the FBI, so the procedures seemed plausible. She is a new author to me, and a new series I will be sure to follow.

Book - Cold Waters by Debbie Herbert
Summary - Violet has been suspected of murdering her best friend, and spent many years in mental institutions. Returning home, has to deal with an evil stepsister who is determined to get her out of the way to get at money left to her by their mother. And that’s the main story, before the twists start.

Word: Night
Book: A Cry in the Night, by Mary Higgins Clark
Summary: Jenny meets a rich and famous artist, that sweeps her and her two young children out of her struggling existence to his family farm, with many secrets in store. As always, Ms. Higgins-Clark is an expert at building the suspense. A great read!

Did you finish reading this, Cecil? I think this was an Amazon First Reads, so I have it ..."
So far so good, lots of characters to keep track of though. Haven't gotten completely to the bottom of the backstory so far, but being fed it bit by bit. Will let you know when I finish!

You need to specify who you are talking to, this is a group posting. ;)

Read two, I Will Judge You by Your Bookshelf, and They Called Us Enemy.
The first was a fun diversion, the second enlightening and educational. Would highly recommend George Takei’s book for those who are curious at all about the terrible treatment of the Japanese/American citizens during WWII.
The IWJYBYB book was light hearted, and I did get a couple of chuckles out of it (plus saw myself in a more than a few of the cartoons) but seemed a bit longer than necessary, especially the parts on writing, since I’m not a writer. But it was still fun, and short.
Only the 8th, both challenges complete (Motif and Key Word), only my book club book to go! Saving time for the new Karin Slaughter novel out on the 20th, can’t wait!

Keyword - Gone

Took me a while, but finally got around to reading this one. Was better than expected, see my review here: www.goodreads.com/book/show/44334843
