I'm not saying I agree completely, but a few of my friends criticize the multiple parts, and here are some of their reasons- To make two full-length movies, they have to drag out details and it makes the film almost boring. The purpose is pretty much entirely profit, not to please book fans. And while I like seeing the majority of books translated to film, there are some parts of novels that just don't work as a movie.
That being said, I'm still very excited for this movie :D

I actually like the tunes of their songs, they're quite catchy (shhh don't tell my friends) but in my opinion, the lyrics are typically horrendous xD

But right now, despite the fact that I love Jace, I have to go with The Infernal Devices. Cassie's writing improved, her characters are amazing, and the plot is intricately developed. I have yet to meet anyone who wasn't thoroughly heartbroken by Clockwork Princess.
