The final two chapters of THE CHEAT are ready to send out if you want them now. BTW, it's the only R rated part, but it's needed for the plot of THE CHEERLEADER. I'm starting to edit The Cheerleader right now. Also, I've found an editor to check for typos, etc. A relative has offered to do it for free since I can't afford to get my normal editor. My relative is meticulous with editing since she writes her own stories, so she's perfect for the job :) I'm planning on publishing THE CHEAT in December. So, I better also make the cover of THE CHEERLEADER and THE CORPSE quick! They're episodes 2 and 3.

Thanks, Tina! I'll ween those references to her being chubby down. Repetitive internal musings can be annoying, so thanks for noticing it, I appreciate it. And yes, Lucy is making a lot of bad impulsive decisions.

Cool :) Chapters 5-6 are now ready too. I think the wording in parts might need to be fixed in those two chapters, but they'll do for now.

The beginning of Episode 2 of Concussion.

These are the final chapters for THE CHEAT. I will send them out in the coming week, after Chapters 5-6. THE CHEERLEADER (Episode 2 of Concussion) will continue the story. Please note that chapter 8 is R18.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish editing chapters 5 & 6 today, but I'll have them done in the next day or two. Once ready I'll send them out to you. There's only two chapters left after 5 & 6, then it moves onto the next episode, which is called THE CHEERLEADER. I like that episode better, because things start getting more interesting.

Yes, I'm finding that both Lucy and Riley need to find their self-worth. Riley knows he's a great player but his fear of failing is getting the better of him, allowing him to let Brooke get away with her behavior. And you'll find out just how manipulative Brooke is, more so than what you're seeing now. She's not just manipulating Riley, she's doing it to many people, one person in particular who has a massive secret that they don't want getting out. In the followup to THE CHEAT, you'll get Brooke's perspective, which makes things so much more interesting. Plus, the seeds of a murder mystery starts in that book (The Cheerleader).

Anyway, thanks! It's great to hear what you like and don't like, it gives me an idea of whether things work or not.

This page is for the sequel to OVERWHELMED. I have had a lot of trouble with this book, both financially and inspiration wise. It has also caused me issues in regards to people abusing me for not publishing it. The reason I haven't progressed with it is because I am a self-published author who earns extremely little from writing. Most of my royalties goes into paying off my self-publishing expenses (editing, covers, cover images, etc.), and what little I get after that isn't enough to cover daily expenses. Because of this it's not possible to put out a sequel if the previous book doesn't meet expectations, or incurs a loss. People also pirate my books, therefore also making it impossible to do the sequel, which is what happened to I Love You, Salvatore's sequel. A pirating site gave away hundreds of copies of that book, while I only sold 12 on its publishing day. I was devastated, and told the pirating site that they were the reason I couldn't do the sequel. They deleted my message on their site.

However, I always feel bad for not putting out a sequel, so I will see what I can do for Hungover since it is the book people constantly ask for. Which is why I have set up this page to encourage myself to work on the chapters once The Cheat's series is finished. So far I have written 15,000 words on Hungover. A good start, but still a long way to go. I'm also hoping 2020 will be kinder to me, both health wise (I got diagnosed with cancer this year. Thankfully, it's all gone now) and financially (so I can pay the self-publishing costs).

Hi, I've changed the name of the beta reading group from Beta Reading Group for The Cheat to Beta Reading Group for Marita A. Hansen. It's due to some people asking to be beta readers for my other books, such as HUNGOVER. Also, The Cheat's following episode is called The Cheerleader, so the new group title is more suitable.

Since Chapter 5 is short, I have coupled it with chapter 6. These chapters will be sent out - hopefully - by Friday, depending upon time.
