[close] This Group will discuss, share books, and advance insights with regard to the topics (being explored in real time), in the Chaos, Complexity and the Visual Arts course. Key topics include: emergence, entropy, phase transitions, and scale.

[close] The Academy for Artists is located in south side Chicago. The goal upon creation was to create a diverse group of artists who would be able to unite the city through the power of art. The creators wanted to prove that yes, Chicago was rapidly being referred to as "Chiraq", but also yes, it is capable of providing the best, most talented artists to be seen. It's a conservatory based program, focusing primarily on four fields, Visual Arts, Theatre, Dance and Music.

[close] Arsenal Pulp Press is a book publisher in Vancouver, Canada with over 200 titles currently in print, which include literary fiction and nonfiction; cultural and gender studies; LGBT and multicultural literature; cookbooks, including vegan; alternative crafts; visual arts; and books in translation. We are interested in literature that traverses uncharted territories, publishing books that challenge and stimulate and ask probing questions about the world around us. With a staff of five, located in the historic Vancouver district of Chinatown, we publish between 14 and 20 new titles per year, as well as an average of 12 to 15 reprints; our books are distributed in Canada, the US, Great Britain, Australia, and English-speaking Europe, and translations of our books have appeared in China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, France, Spain, Italy, German, Turkey, and Brazil. [close] [THIS IS A RE-VAMP OF MY OLD GROUP, MISTY VALES ACADEMY] it wouldn't let me delete the old group, so i'm just starting over here. students from around the world are invited to join this academy when they display promising talent in an arts field, including both visual and performing arts. when students graduate, they are either allowed to remain at the academy for more advanced training or return to their home country and try to begin a career. the academy is secluded in the forest, but the town is a short bus ride away, which students can visit on weekends.
